The Thing and Ambush Bug

I have to give Warner Animation credit that between the Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoons, they have been able to bring an amazing number of their characters to the small screen. Ambush Bug is really a noticeable exception, though. With his simple design and irreverent meta attitude, he would be perfect for the cartoon treatment. Hopefully we will get one someday down the line!

Sweet Aunt Petunia what a cover!

The Thing and Ambush Bug! Who would the villain be...The Impossible Man? Or could this be The Thing versus Ambush Bug...

I could see Benjy clobberin' AB by the end of the story...

The folks at WB Animation may have felt that with FREKAZOID on the air, that the market could only bear one fourth-wall-breaking nutjob in tights at a time...

I'd like to see and Ambush Bug and Deadpool teamup.

Sign Keith Giffen on and that just writes itself

I am probably alone in this but I liked Ambush Bug best when he fought Superman and the Legion Of Substitute Heroes.

I think it is a sign of me being an old fart but I don't like it when comic book characters that break the fourth wall.

Still though- this was an awesome cover you made here!

Great site as always.

I had a letter printed in that DCCP issue with Ambush Bug and the Legion Subs!

When the first Keith Giffen Ambush Bug miniseries came out, I had NEVER expected or read anything like it before, and have never laughed so genuinely since (Giffen's Justice League came close). It was brilliant. Come to think of it, when he fought Supes and the New Doom Patrol in DCCP in his first appearance, I had never laughed so hard either. He is Keith Giffen's masterpiece!

I'd imagine you've seen by now that he finally made it into the finale of B:TBATB and was voiced by Henry Winkler to boot!
