Man-Thing has clearly held that grudge for a while - These two first clashed way back in STF #394, over a decade ago. I've been meaning to get them back together for a while, I think if they learned to work together, they could be a decent team.

Why not? You could even have them quadruple-team with Moon Knight and the Elongated Man against Eclipso!
I can see it now: "Who will be the first to complete the...QUEST FOR THE MOON FLOwER!"
I wanted to ask if you had seen the cartoon where Jonah Hex teams up with Space Cabbie and they both take on Kanjor Ro? I watched last night and it made me think of this blog, lol.
Along similar lines to this, I was just thinking the other day about Marvel's three notable werewolf characters: Man-Wolf, Werewolf by Night, and Wolfsbane. I don't recall any counterparts in DC, but when I looked up the topic I only found full-on villainous characters. (Wolfsbane is a heroine, of course, and WbN a sort of anti-hero; I'm not sure about MW.) So, I thought, and 3-on-3 battle between the two sides might be an interesting Halloween-time cover.
Another would be Wolfsbane and the Confessor. Rahne would have so many conflicting feelings about that one.
Ed, yes Justice League Action is a hoot!
per your idea let's propose
Jimmy Olsen's Wolfman persona
and Timber Wolf from the Legion of Superheroes...
and thirdly Fangclaw from the monster version of the Justice League in a few old issues of Super friends....
actually, replace Timber Wolf in the above suggestions with Big Bad "Bigby" Wolf from Fables...
he more of anti-hero trying to reform his history, much like Marvel's Jack Russell (Werewolf by Night)....
How about Jonah Hex and O'Neal the Six-Gun Gorilla?
How would Eclipso affect Man-Thing?? or vice-versa?
It would certainly be poetic justice if even Eclipso burned at the Man-Thing's touch.
