Iron Fist and Plastic Man

With Mr. Terrific and Metamorpho being included in Superman: Legacy, many have speculated that we'll also have Plastic Man and Phantom Girl showing up early in the DCU, to complete the Terrifics team.  But who should be cast as Plas?  The two names I have heard mentioned are Ben Schwartz and John Mulaney. I can see either one in the role and wouldn't mind seeing one of them get it.  Are there any other good candidates?

Ben Stiller, perhaps? I liked his performance in "Mystery Men".

As for Power Man's vacation? I'll bet he and the Doom Patrol's Robotman wind up being forced to fight each other in a "Steel/Cage Match!"

Would Plas's voice change as he is stretching? So many possibilities. Love the cover. Was that a Police comic with Plas on the original? (So much for Elongated Man and Elastic Lad. Bet there's no mention of them.)

It's from Plastic Man #1, 1943.

Good to know! For a second, I thought Iron Fist and Plas had been hired to watch over Castle Grayskull.

Just kidding, Ross. :-)

I will absolutely die on the hill of how there should've been a Plastic Man movie back in the nineties starring Jim Carrey, at the height of his career. Since it's too late for that, barring some fancy CGI de-aging... sometime suggested Ben Stiller, which I can definitely see.

With maybe Nathan Lane as Woozy Winks?

Bruce Campbell would have been a good choice twenty years ago.

Jim Carrey?

Didn't he say after playing Robotnik in Sonic 2 he was retiring?

@my namesake: yeah. The skinny guy who rose to fame playing Stanley Ipkiss in THE MASK and the title character in the "Ace Ventura" movies.

Joaquin Phoenix once told Dave Letterman something similar. But, it's Letterman who's now retired...and JP who's got five upcoming film projects.

So, I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting to see if Jim Carrey's "retirement" gets verified.

James Gunn proposed a Plastic Man movie starring Matthew Lillard about 20 years ago. Hopefully he'll give Lillard a chance at it now.
