Bender and Iron Man

Futurama is back after several years with brand new episodes on Hulu.  I am looking forward to checking them out.  The original series run is one of the best cartoons ever made and I hope that they can maintain the high standard that was set.  The entire voice cast has returned, which is a big plus.

That's easy for Tony to say.

OK! Being serious, now. Has Bender ever met Magnus the Robot Fighter?

Ah! Good team up Ross. I just hope Bender won't have repulsor rays installed. "Spirit" brothers at heart as well.

An abridged version of how Hulu got Bender's voice actor to rejoin the cast:

John DiMaggio: I'm not playing Bender again.

Hulu executives: We'll pay you more money.

John DiMaggio: (in Bender's voice) I'm back, baby!

Fun cover. Fun story potential. Epic alliteration.

I don't know that I personally would buy this comic, but it'd be sure to fly off the shelves.

Next up? From the creative mind that brought you "Bent Out Of Shape" comes a sequel starring Iron Man, Alfred E. Neuman and ex-Teen Titan Rachel Roth in:

"STARK-RAVEN MAD!"

This is such a STARK contrast to the show....now, if Steve Rogers saw the show, how would he react to it?

Bust a "Cap" up Bender's shiny metal butt?

I thought IM no longer had Bender’s.

Yeah, right. And Megalodons still live at the bottom of the Mindanao Trench. ;-)

@Anon1212: no spoilers, please! I plan to see MEG 2 this weekend.

@Carycomic: me, too! Let me know if you liked it.

@Anon1038: just got back from the local cineplex. It wasn't bad! Not exactly faithful to the book sequel. But, sometimes, that's a good thing. I just wish I knew what genuine prehistoric species those "saber-tooth tiger salamanders" were supposed to represent?

Did anybody read Futurama Comics #38? There's a moment where Fry wears Bender's empty casing to become "Iron Fry". The panels also reference Iron Man's first appearance in the comics.
