Robin and Mockingbird

Bobbi Morse had such success recruiting Nightwing into  S.H.I.E. L.D. in STF #4088, that it looks like she decided to also bring in the original Dick Grayson as a well! It's probably for the best, he's been looking for a new purpose after finding himself unstuck in the Multiverse as a result of battling Kang in STF #1744.

In the original story, he said it was designed by Neal Adams. Yep, that one i would guess. Check a reprint book for the story.

I love the grey and yellow...just like Bobbi's black and white. Both he and his sister , like Power Girl just stay existing no matter what... Maybe there's a bat ghost looking out over them. great cover, Ross.

Excellent! I'd love to see more of the Silver Age Earth-Two Robin. Maybe some time he can be featured next to Nick Fury.

Tobor raises an interesting point about Robin and Power Girl continuing to exist after their universes died. Maybe Dick and Power Girl can form a team with Cable, Longshot, et al, for heroes who are "Refugees" from other multiverses and timelines. Usagi Yojimbo might be included too.

PS: After stumbling across an article on superhero costumes, I'd be interested in seeing the Golden Age Mister Terrific alongside Wonder Man in his red-jacket outfit.

Bob, I have a team idea along those lines and including E2 Robin...

who's the villain?

@Paul: at first glance, I'd say Gideon Mace (an old Luke Cage foe).

@Det.Tobor: when you say "sister," do you mean the pre-Crisis Huntress of Earth 2?

@Anon 12:33, she's the one.. although DC did introduce a new "original style" Earth 2..wonder if this Robin will be on it the way Power Girl was to meet her "twin".

Ross, would that be a group like Marvel's Exiles ??

Det. Tobor: I think the Adams-designed one was the adult red-yellow-green costume he later wore in the All-Star Comics rebirth in the '70s. Not the one appearing here. I think it was originally in JLA 91-92 when he and the Earth-1 Robin appeared together. In that team-up the Earth 1 Robin was the one wearing the Adams-designed costume, after his was torn up in a tussle with aliens and Solomon Grundy.

Chuck is right.

Who drew the E-2 Robin figure?

Terry Beatty - Artists are listed right below the covers.

The tags don't appear when I view the site on my (Android) phone. They do show up if I switch to the web version, though.

@Bob Buethe: maybe you should take the android into Mos Eisley for some new power converters.

@Cary: This last comment, combined with today's cover featuring Bender, reminds me of a Twisted Toonz segment, where the actors were reading Star Wars - Chapter IV: A New Hope. The scene had Porky Pig (Billy West) as Obi-Wan, and Bender (John DiMaggio) as a Stormtrooper. It went something like this:

Stormtrooper: Let me see your identification.

Obi-Wan: You di-a-d-don't ni-a-need to, uh, see his idea-idea-identification.

Stormtrooper: I di-a-d-don't ni-a-need to, uh, see his idea-idea-identification.

(Billy cracks up at this, but forges ahead.)

Obi-Wan: The-uh-th-these aren't the-uh-the-uh-the-uh-the di-a-di-droids you're li-a-luh-looking for.

Stormtrooper: The-uh-th-these aren't the-uh-the-uh-the-uh-the di-a-di-droids you're li-a-luh-looking for.

Obi-Wan: He ci-a-cuh-ci-a-cuh-can gi-a-guh-gi-a-guh-go abi-a-buh-bout his bi-a-buh-bi-a-buh-business.

Stormtrooper: Okay, 'bye.

GOOD ONE!!! :-)

Chuck is absolutely right. Neal Adams designed the costume that the Earth-Two Robin loaned to the Earth-One Robin.

The "Bat-Robin" costume was "designed" (or mashed up) by Mike Sekowsky.
