We've seen Batman: The Brave and The Bold, DC Nation Shorts and Justice League Action each bring all sorts of DC characters to animation, no matter how obscure. For some reason, Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew have yet to make the cut. That seems to be quite an oversight to me - if there is any DC Comics property that was made for a cartoon adaptation, it's the Zoo Crew!

I hear you, Ross. Even the Dino-Sorceror, himself, had his own cartoon series back in the Eighties! From DIC Animation of Canada, I believe.
No, wait. I'm thinking of DINOSAUCERS. Oh, well. Maybe you can have them hitching a ride from the TMNT mini-bus while they try to get away from the Triceratons.
Whan DC did their crossovers with Hanna-Barbara a while back I suspected Captain Carrot would of shown up and never did. Hopefully somewhere down the road you can correct that oversight.
Maybe Ross could depict them as teaming up with three out of the Jurassic four to rescue Rex from the Legion of Doom's Toyman.
The Zoo Crew really needs to revisit the world of Spider-Ham -- it was teased in #352 and happened for real in #1420,* but that was literally over 6 years ago! And would they be able to visit Zootopia?
*As to #1420, I'm surprised that nobody -- including myself -- mentioned the tribute to "The Flash of Two Worlds!" And you mentioned at that time being unable to include Goose Rider; perhaps you can find a good place to include him now, perhaps in pursuit of Judge Doom or teamed with Detective Chimp.
And on the topic of Spider-Ham's colleagues, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness coming up, perhaps an appearance here by Croctor Strange would be fitting, possibly teamed with Alley-Kat-Abra.
They have had an appearance or two on Robot Chicken, if you count that. Hey, it's TV, at least!
I believe a big chunk of the reason is that Scott Shaw (an experienced animation artist) was very savvy when he and Roy Thomas created the characters for DC, and they contractually get a pot of money if the characters get used in animation.
DC bought Roy Thomas and my Captain Carrot because of my career in animation; the publisher hope to sell it as a network cartoon show. Ruby-Spears/ABC optioned it for two years. But now that DC/WB has its own studio, that's the LAST thing DC wants to do because Roy, I and Gerry Conway (not involved with the creation but more a deal between him and Roy) and we own 20% of the property. DC keeps changing the design or the concept ("Captain K-Rot", anyone?) to make him a different character. They continue to screw Roy and I so don't expect a CCAHAZC! cartoon show. DC's gonna make sure you NEVER see one.

Sounds like typical DC/WB to me.
Ross' image-capture of Devil Dinosaur and Moonboy looks uncannily similar to the pseudo-anime aspects of Cartoon Network's "Teen Titans Go!" Which makes me wonder if DC/WB is also ripping off Marvel's animators.

Would Disney have legal trademark issues with Rubberduck, the same way they had issues originally with Howard The Duck?
That depends! If Capt. Carrot ever faced off with the Sentry, would DC have trouble with the only difference in costume color-schemes being the capes?
