Expansion Team in: "Who Killed Stretch Armstrong?"
I've had more than one request for this group to meet Stretch Armstrong... sadly it looks like it's not for an initiation issue!
This is the fifth appearance of The Expansion Team - Their cartoon series debuted in STF #3130, Elastigirl joined the team in STF #2130, they battled the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man in STF #1490, and first got together back in STF #934...

Maybe Armstrong isn't entirely dead. Maybe he's only mostly dead...which is still slightly alive.
Or is that too much of a stretch?
hey ! i have another one for ya' how about rubber duck from the zoo crew... bet ya' never though of him....lol
dead is dead no matter how much( or how little) ya' stretch it....lol
The culprit was Super Adaptoid in the home stretch. Plastic Man was coming to see Stretch cause of the mysterious invite he got from Armstrong. Got there too late.
Armstrong thought Clayface was after him. Not quite.
Got another recruit for the Expansion Team. What about Monkey D. Luffy? Just don’t get him involved in any underwater missions..
There just aren't that many stretchy superheroes around. A pity Stretch couldn't become a full member.
Somehow I thought Ms. Marvel II (Kamala Khan) was recruited into the team at some point; she and (of course) Plastic Man would be natural additions. Choji Akimichi (Naruto) might qualify and have enough images to be a regular, and a little research brought Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy (One Piece) to my attention. Other than that, I think any additions would be limited to cameos like this one from more obscure heroes (in terms of number of available images, anyway) like Coil Man (The Impossibles), Kamui Woods (My Hero Academia, or Commando Rubberbando (Hero Games), or more whimsical characters like Jake the Dog (Adventure Time) or Gumby. (Or someone like the above-mentioned Rubberduck, who fits both categories.)
On the other hand, there's a good supply of stretchy villains, and the Expansion Team going up against a group of them would be... interesting.
@Cary: You beat me to the Princess Bride reference, but I'd like to offer a different one in return: "I'm not dead yet!"
PS: I just had a flash of Deadpool and Batman teaming up against Black Talon and Mr. Freeze. "Okay Bats -- you let me care of the cold guy,* and give you the bird!"
*Admittedly, there's probably another Batman villain that can provide a slightly off-color pun like the other part, but I can't think of one offhand.
Has Jimmy (Elastic Lad) Olsen ever guested with these guys?
Well, now I want to see Rubber Duck from the Zoo Crew team up with Jake the Dog from Adventure Time,
He reached out to them. Someone's gone to enormous lengths here.
hey Ross, what about the other Stretch Armstrong from the cartoon as i assume the one we see here is the original toy version of said hero????
it is a Netflix cartoon Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Crew (i think)....
the 3 heroes are all teenage boys....
fyi....
and there was an updated toy version in the mid to late 90s....
and the Netflix cartoon one was/is called Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.....
Maybe Stretch Armstrong could be updated into the Hasbro section of the IDW-verse. Although, his artists might have to more fully cloth him. If only to cut down on the resemblance to the 1980's Filmation version of He-Man!
Sorry Carycomic there's no bouncing back this time. Maybe if the Avengers have a spare synthroid body handy they could still help. Have the Avengers ever had a stretchie guy member? Pym doesn't count. Oh yeah Flatman. Oh well.
Maybe Offspring can get involved.

In DC's own canon, [shortly] pre-Crisis, there was an issue of [IIRC]'DC Comics Presents' in which he teamed-up with Elongated Man and Plastic Man...
@Horsefeathers: what about the Son of Thin Man? ;-)
Not the offspring I had in mind.
Baby Plas (from the Ruby-Spears cartoon series)?
Earlier I mentioned Choji Akimichi from Naruto as a possible addition, but I actually think he'd be better off teaming up with Bouncing Boy. These two guys are in perfect shape -- perfectly spherical shape, that is!
Then, let's get the ball rolling! ;-D
"Who killed Stretch Armstrong?"
Colonel Mustard, in the back, with a Romulan disruptor.
Or the Condiment King with a candlestick full of mustard.
