Orion and Machine Man

I've finally gotten around to watching Game of Thrones, and all of the castles, battles and family drama have me convinced that maybe a New Gods HBO Max series would be the way to go.  A movie would be cool, but so much of the story would have to be glossed over or left out completely even with a long running time.  A nice ten episode run would allow for Jack Kirby's characters and concepts to really shine.

You also get the 4 hr Synder cut of the J L to add to the feel of what a series/ 10 hr series could do.

I'd settle for first-run syndication via BBC-America, A&E, or even StarzEncore!

As for today's cover-sim? It could definitely qualify as a sequel to STF #3390! That is; if you, Ross, as the author/owner of this website, were to utilize Bob Greenwade's suggestion of a rogue LMD in Silver Age Robin's image. But, one whose actions turned out to have been initiated by Kanto as a test-run!

Just a thought. :-)

Nice to see yet another all-Kirby cover!

As for Cary's thought, maybe it could become a trilogy in a showdown between Kanto and the Warlock/Cipher pairing.

Which makes me curious: did Marvel ever decide whether or not to permanently refer to that merged entity as "Warpher?" Seeing as "Ci-lock" might cause some confusion with Captain Britain's sister?

As I recall, they decided to go with "Douglock."

Out of all the covers that I have dissected looking for the covers and pictures that make up your homages to the different genres of comic books. I enjoy the Jack Kirby the most. Takes me back to the day when all you found on the spinning rack in the Drug Store was DC, Marvel, Gold Key and Charleton.

How could the MCU do a Machine Man movie without it looking to similar to what has been done with The Vision? Maybe they could make it a lighthearted comedy just to mix things up.

Or they could simply make "Aaron Stack" the prototype for all the SHIELD LMD's. But, one night, something happens while he's watching "2001: A Space Odyssey." Or maybe even "Short Circuit"...and he gains sentience!

They should make the Machine Man movie focus on the character going to college so the MCU can do their version of a frat comedy. Of course he would run into some evil plot he would have to address in-between getting drunk and partying.

Would one of his instructors be Prof. Chip Carson? ;-)

Those two stories are very similar. Both involve a scientist secretly raising a robot as his son.

And, since Disney now owns Marvel, both could appear together in the same flick!

It could work as a story. Scientist secretly raises robot as son. Bad guys (MODOK?) find out and kidnap Scientist to build more robots. Robot son has to save the day. In-between that you have a college comedy. Needs to be tweaked but there is potential.

Just so long as National Lampoon doesn't call it '"Robot House."

I'd rather see "National Lampoon's DARKSEID VS. GATOR LOKI!"
