I still hope that we'll see Namor with the classic green speedo look when he make his debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but I'm guessing that he will mostly wear something closer to the costume above - which I always thought was pretty cool as well.

I'm not sure what I expect Atlantis to look like. I was surprised by the Atlantis in Aquaman. I'm wondering what Namor's Atlantis will look like...
On the flip side, I can't wait for the next season of Stargirl to see more of Earth-Two. It just seems like she's putting together an Infinity, Inc. than a next generation Justice Society...
If memory serves, that cool sleeveless unitard was designed by Reed Richards when the Submariner was rendered ultra-sensitive to dehydration because of an exploding canister of mutagenic nerve gas. One of many (at an illegal undersea dumping site) that Namor and Attuma literally stumbled across during one of their endless confrontations for the throne of Atlantis!
Real-world time, that occurred in the 1970's. Assuming that this version of Namor got the unitard from the Reed Richards of Earth-STF, in the more broadly generic "present day," then he's obviously gone back in time. And that the JSA is after him through a case of mistaken identity.*
*For instance, this could be occurring during the same period when Namor, Captain America, and the Human Torch were briefly mind-controlled by the Red Skull using a prototype nullatron.
@Carycomic: not bad reasoning. But, I think you're only half-right. I think both Hawkman and Namor are from the future! Rendered amnesiac, then sent back through time, by the Red Skull's use of the Cosmic Cube @ STF #3360. Simply to keep them from rescuing Cap and the 7 Soldiers of Victory from that giant hourglass @ STF #3372.
I think we'll get to see both costumes in BP:WF, and probably at least one more. They'll sell more action figures that way.
I tried to see if he was cast yet, and could find nothing. For quite a while I've said that Keanu Reeves would be perfect for Namor, as he has just the right look, but if that hasn't been announced already I doubt it's in the cards.
About Namor and Hawkman, with them you have two thirds of "Land, Sea, and Air." What (third-party) character could join them to represent the Land part? (Ideally, I think, someone who can tunnel through the earth as a basic shtick.)

Bob, many places are reporting that Tenoch Huerta has been cast as Namor, but Marvel has not confirmed it yet.

I always liked that costume: In fact, I used an only slightly modified version of it for my first ever 'Champions' RPG character 'Triphibian'.
The original version of this cover had Tsunami as the "target", right?

@Simreeve: You can probably understand why I wish Ross would at least familiarize himself with the Champions Universe. With a dearth of available images, they'd be hard to include too often, but I'd love to see things like Foxbat vs. Luthor for President, Foxbat interacting with Deadpool and/or Ambush Bug, a duet between Sapphire and Dazzler, Nighthawk with his Marvel namesake, Defender working with Iron Man, Seeker and the Inferior Five, etc.
@Bob: that's similar to my wanting to see him pit Dr. Eclipse (from Eclipse Comics) against his super-villainous namesake (from Valiant/Acclaim/Moonstone).
Actually, the villainous Dr. Eclipse went over to Dynamite Entertainment along with his arch-enemy, Dr. Solar.
It's the Eclipse revival of Airboy that went over to Moonstone Comics.

The villainous Dr. Eclipse has a reality-altering power similar to the post-Gold Key Dr. Solar, due to it being from the same source. A VR simulation of a black hole that somehow linked up with a real one!
While his superheroic namesake used to be the Hillman Comics version of Vandal Savage (Zzed the Immortal Man). Insane with the tedium of his eternal existence, he tried to commit suicide by imploding the Eclipse Comics multiverse (a la "Crisis On Infinite Earths"). Only to wind up regaining his sanity...while simultaneously becoming like a cross between Superman and Adam Warlock.
Now, if the Silver Age Eclipso pitted himself against either one of them, he'd probably lose. But, since he's been ret-conned into being a mixed-blood Chaos Lord? Well, let's just say it'd be an interesting three-for-all.
Ecliso is "a mixed-blood Chaos Lord", now? Last that I saw, he was the former Wrath of God...

Does anybody here now whether the ancient sorcerer who adopted the name of 'Dr Gotham', and who caused quite q bit of trouble until Shadowpact stopped him, was actually Garn Daanuth?
All I know for sure is that, in conjunction with the backup tale in STF #300, this cover-sim would be perfect for completing Ross' first-ever tetralogy.
