Batman Vs. Carnage

I love the casting of Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady in Venom: There Will Be Carnage.  The first movie had the usually nuanced actor Tom Hardy chewing the scenery, so I can only imagine what Harrelson will do with his performance considering the fact that Carnage has an even more over the top personality than Venom does.  Throw in director Andy Serkis, known to be quite the risk taker in performances himself, and you have the recipe for a fun, crazy flick!

Poor Carnage. He thinks he can't be touched. Arkham isn't a university, but school is about school is about to start. Bruce gets copies of eveyones' files without their permission so he may have some ideas on dealing with this alien based threat.

Whoa!
Poor Carnage. He doesn't stand a chance. Batman took down the entire Justice League and figured out a way to neutralize Plastic Man...

Carnage is not one of my favorite characters, but Batman and Carnage fight would draw me in for sure.

Well, they fought in the Batman / Spider-Man crossover by J. M. DeMatteis & Mark Bagley. He teamed-up with the Joker.

@Giulio: I thought this line-up sounded familiar! Good memory. :-)

Knowing Batman, he'd probably neutralize Casady with some preliminary flash-bang grenades, followed by a directed ultra-sonic blast (similar to a heavy-duty, high-tech dog whistle), and culminating with a relatively harmless form of pyro-granulate!

I'm not a Carnage fan at all, and only marginally a Batman fan (where comics are concerned), but I would buy this comic without even peeking inside. Your choice of artwork in particular makes this looks like it'd be an exciting tale, even more than the one Giulio cited.

In a way, many of Batman's and Spider-Man's respective foes could fight the other without things feeling out of place. Spidey would be especially interesting against some of Bats' superpowered and high-tech foes, such as Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, or Clayface, though if I had a choice I'd love to see him pitted against the Condiment King.

Whether I see Venom: There Will Be Carnage in the theaters or wait for it to arrive on video will depend largely on whether it's PG-13 or R. I think (possibly mistakenly) that I heard that it's expected to be rated R, which would put it into watch-at-home status for me. But Sony definitely has me interested in seeing it.

PS: I was catching up on My Hero Academia yesterday, and the appearance of the character Mt. Lady made me wonder how many other super-large superheroines there are. The only one I can think of is Elasti-Girl of the Doom Patrol, and it'd be fun to see those two share a cover together, though a whole team of such characters would be even more fun.

Smooth cover Ross. Carnage is looking right up at Bats, dynamic poses for both. Seemless!

Thanks, Tim!

@Bob Greenwade, about super-large superheroines:

There’s also Giant Girl from Marvel Adventures: Avengers and Stature from Young Avengers.

And Garganta of FemForce, too!

I believe we have the makings of a team! (I definitely should've thought of Stature myself; I'm looking forward to Cassie's debut in that identity in Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!)

@Bob: as Spidey himself might say: "MAY all your HOPEs be realized."

Batman has encountered Mephisto twice. Third time, Mephisto could be out of luck for underestimating the Bat. Would love to see Ross do Like a Bat into Hell.

How about Carnage vs. The Haunted Tank? With Cletus Casady as a pawn of Mephisto.

Addendum: A possible addition to the group of "big women" would be Lady Diane from The Seven Deadly Sins (which I just started in on yesterday, after putting it off thinking that it wouldn't be to my taste and discovering quite the opposite!).

Or Godzilla vs. Lady Diane!

@Bob and Cary: Or, even better, Garganta of FemForce vs. Lady Diane!
