I was not expecting the adult Monica Rambeau to make her MCU debut until a Captain Marvel sequel, but it won't take that long. She is scheduled to be a supporting character in the upcoming Disney+ show Wanda Vision. Will she gain her superhuman abilities in that show? I hope so, I can't wait to see her using her powers in live action.
The Light Brigade first appeared in STF #2170...

If they go against a team with living super hard prisms, look out.
Would they be able to take on a team of controlled Doctor Spectrum and Green Lantern?
Hmmm. How would they do against a group of specialists led by Daredevil and Dr Midnight?
While a fun cover Ross, what would they do against an energy absorbing monster that couldn't be overloaded? Or a black hole kind of villain? I'll forego all the puns that come to mind in hopes of more creative ideas. I don't take your work lightly.
I could see them taking on Eclipso. Story title: "Don't Blink".
I can see the lightbulb going off over your head as you planned this cover.
Monica, Monica, Monica! How can you be from New Orleans and forget so soon that Dr. (formerly Brother) Voodoo is the new Sorcerer Supreme? Complete with the irresistible Eyeshine of Agamotto?
Monica Rambeau was MY Captain Marvel. Loved her debut in that Spider-Man annual, and her steady rise through the ranks of the Avengers. It never felt forced like the 'look how great I am' progression of other characters has in the past.
The Ray's original costume was so awesome in its simplicity. Why, oh why did they ever change it?
Did they change his costume? Only updated version I know of is worn by his son, but then, I haven't kept up with either of them like I have others...
Back when Monica was first wearing the above costume, she became my favorite Marvel hero, based mainly on her close, loving relationship with her mother and her sense of determination in action -- even though, for me, Captain Marvel will always mean Billy Batson.
Teyonah Parris, who's cast in the role for WandaVision, is a completely new face to me, so I don't know how good of a match her acting is for the character. Still, if nothing else, she certainly has the right hair.
