Probably my favorite Easter Egg in Avengers: Endgame was the glimpse at Hank Pym's original Ant-Man helmet in his lab - not to mention a de-aged Michael Douglas who looked like he was still on the set of Streets of San Francisco. If Marvel ever makes a third Ant-Man movie, I'd love to see it take place on two eras, with Hank and Janet working on a case in the past that must be completed by Scott and Hope in the present.

After the Ant-Man movie came out, I heard a guy talking to his 6 or 7 yr old son." If you ever become a superhero, remember don't be Ant-Man." SNL did a superhero party sketch in the 70s or early 80s with a pretty authentic Ant-Man uniform being worn by one of the regulars. A different hero asked him about his powers and said I bet you can really clean house over those ants.
I wonder if he could Hulk out at that size, how would he be treated then?"
I didn't need my heroes to be brash and arrogant. Barry Allen, Hank Pym, Bruce Wayne, Adam Strange were great heroes!
That was Garret Morris wearing the Silver Age costume. Margot Kidder was guest-host that weekend, so one of the skits during the first half hour concerned her at-last marriage to Superman (played, in that case, by Bill Murray). Dan Ackroyd was dressed as the Barry Allen Flash and John Belushi was made up like the Incredible Hulk.
TIMBER!!!!!!
I remember that SNL skit. One of my favorite parts was the Hulk going into the restroom and hearing a scream. He exclaimed, "How was I supposed to now the Invisible Girl was in there?" Oh, and that was St. Patrick's Day in that skit, and that year was the Green Lantern's turn to host the parade, as he and the Hulk alternated each year.
Great comedy!!!
Ah, the great classic look for Cyborg. This image looks like it's pre-Crisis, pre-Motherbox Cyborg, when building his replacement parts was just Silas' desperate genius intellect at work. (I'm apparently in the minority in not liking the newer twist.)
The "inside job" remark makes me think that Hank's going to run into someone inside there, and that has me trying to recall if DC has any notable shrinking supervillains who could be behind this. A shrinking tech genius taking over Cyborg to further his agenda seems like a pretty clever supervillain plan.
As to your thoughts on the next Ant-Man movie, I think that the best we can hope for on that is opening with an action sequence with Hank and Janet in the past, with Scott and Hope (and probably Cassie, making her debut as Stature) featured in the rest of the story.
@Tobor: I think you hit on one of the reasons that Barry Allen was my favorite superhero growing up. He was a stand-up guy in a stable marriage to a supportive woman, honest about his faults (such as his problems with time management), and caring toward his friends even when he disagreed with them. In addition, he basically only had one superpower, which he applied in often-creative ways for a variety of effects (even if the science behind them was sometimes a bit spurious). Round that out with just the very cool idea of being able to run wherever you want to go in an instant, and you have something to appeal perfectly to little Bobby.
@ Bob Greenwade: I believe that Cyborg image is from Tales of the New Teen Titans #1 when he confronted an "ex-friend" on top of a building.
The tall hairy one who hated biplanes? ;-)
Sorry, Scott. Couldn't resist. :-)
