Mr. Monster and The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is back and even though the gory stuff makes me watch half of it with my hands over my eyes, I have been enjoying the return of Rick and company.  I like that they have added in a character who just may have a cure for the walking dead plague if he can get to the right facility - it gives the group a goal other than merely just trying to stay alive, and a good reason to keep moving instead of holing up in one place.

Great cover, but who is Mr. Monster?

Doc Stearn, Mr. Monster is a monster battling superhero created by Michael T. Gilbert, most recently published by Dark Horse.

Revived by Gilbert, actually. Mr. M. was a hero who made two appearances in 1946. Gilbert updated him for Pacific Comics in 1984, and he's been in print on-and-off ever since, from Eclipse, Image, Dark Horse, and others.

A cure, huh? Sounds like a ripe possibility for a WD/Z NATION crossover. On Earth-STF, if not between AMC and Syfy.*

*Hey! If Dave Kelly could do it between ALLY MCBEAL and THE PRACTICE, those two networks could certainly find some way to manage it.
