Adam Strange and The Avengers

The Avengers: Age of Ultron teaser did just what it was supposed to do, tease the upcoming blockbuster sequel with a glimpse of the cast and a hint of the conflict that they will be facing.  I still feel as though there is a lot being held back, and that's a good thing.  We know that Ultron will not be the sole villain and still have yet to see The Vision in action.  Hawkeye and Hulk are said to have expanded roles, but other than the Hulkbuster fight, I don't know what that will entail yet.  Finally, the rumors of Captain Marvel or other heroes showing up continue to surface - time will tell if there is any truth to those.  I'm not going to go crazy looking for spoilers, though... it's fun to be surprised in the theater.

I wasn't as impressed with the new Avengers trailer, as it seemed to point to the Avengers falling apart more than trying to work together. Hopefully the movie is more than that. I do wish that the movie would at least show brief cameos from other Marvel characters like from the Agents of SHIELD, or Spider-Man, or Fantastic Four, or the Beast as played by Kelsey Grammer to tie in the X-Men movies. I think the Beast would be good for the Avengers especially since he'd been a member of the Avengers in the comics.
Ah, but I am dreaming.
But then again I did wish that Marvel would make a Guardians of the Galaxy movie and then they did. I also wished for a Suicide Squad movie, and it looks like than may actually come to pass. Now if only they would do a Invaders or Justice Society or All-Star Squadron movie set during WWII, then the top of my comics-to-movies wish list will have been complete. But then again I forgot Alien Legion. (I might be getting a bit greedy now)

wowoweeeewow! Ross, you are stıll full of surprıses as I never ımagıned thıs partıcular team-up, and yet ıt's a no-braıner! Adam Strange would be an awesome space opera movıe(an obvıous yet wonderful knock-off of Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, et al.) but ıt most lıkely ısn't ın the cards.

I just can't help but envision an end of credits scene shot at the last minute for AoU that plays eerily like the Ironman 1 credits scene: A somewhat tired Tony Stark returns to his home and office to find the lights out and JARVIS not answering. He then notices a shadowed figure in his chair and addresses him.

"How did you get in here?"

The figure leans forward with his hands on Stark's desk. It's Phil Coulson.

"Mister Stark. We need to have a talk."

Two of my all-time favorite cover images mashed up in a delightful whole. Wonderful!

Thanks!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! It looks as if the Thinker subjected Adam Strange to some Pym-particles. Making him giant-sized enough to take on the Avengers, single-handedly.

As to their upcoming movie sequel? I haven't seen the trailer, yet. But, one thing I can guarantee you. At least half of the preview clips will be out-takes...that will not appear ANYWHERE in the film's final draft!
