When I posted my JLA Vs. The Mandarin cover a few days back, I received a bunch of requests for a follow up cover featuring the Avengers trapped by a JLA villain. My favorite suggestion came from Dafydd Neal Dyar over on the Facebook Fan Page who mentioned using the classic cover from Justice League of America #10 as a template. Thanks, Dafydd!

Ant-Man for the thumbs up and Rick Jones to spoil the win! I would have gone with Thor as # 10, but with Herc and She-Hulk already there, what else would Felix need than size control.
Beautiful cover, Ross.Too bad Cap can't use his shield on Felix.
Lol! "...thumb's up..."
I LOVE IT! :-D
I knew when I saw the pairing what the cover would be.
Yep. I mentioned this classic story at the time, too, though for some reason it never occurred to me to turn the tables and use the Avengers for this.
The "thumbs up" line is a good one -- but I think Quicksilver is about to give a digital response of his own, if you catch my drift.
And... Oi, the work this must've involved! Well done, Ross.
This cover is a "grabber" all right Ross! Sorry, bad pun. The finger puppet theme reminds me of something Pee Wee Herman would have used. There's hardly any comics with Pee Wee that I know of, but would you ever do a cover with him?
Detective Tobor - I like your choices. And Rick Jones would be great...but...and I know this would mess up the DC/Marvel pairing, but wouldn't "Snapper" Carr be even better to foil Faust? :-)
That's gotta make eating, or scratching an itch or buttoning your clothes, *really* awkward.
Did you intentionally put all of 'Cap's Kooky Quartet' on one hand? :D
The poses just worked out that way
@Reg Aubry: I would say that depends on which one Ross has more images of "on hand."
;-)
This really feels like it should be a two-part story, where we find out who number ten is tomorrow!
That's a super-speedy creation following on from the Mandarin cover, Ross. Maybe you've got a copy of the Quicksilver mutant genome.
And great work. The original cover is fantastic - and yours partners it seamlessly.
Cap should throw his little shield at him.
Will Mandarin shake hands with Faust or thumb wrestle him?
I've gotta "hand" it to Ben W, for his brilliant suggestion.
I agree that this should be first of a two parter.
I do not think we have ever seem the combination of Avengers on left hand except on one of those titles where almost all the Avengers appear.
I'm wondering if he'll feed them finger sandwiches.
;-)
