Doomsday pretty much took out the entire JLA before going one on one with Superman. Would The Avengers have fared any better? I'm not sure, but I would definitely want to read about the battle! I guess it would all depend upon the roster.

YES!! This is the top of my want to read list!! JLA don't have weapons like unbreakable shields. Power rings ---maybe. The wonder rope didn't seem to help much.
Thor's hammer might just charge him up, but not stop him. Wanda might be interesting to see in action against him. Vision might upset him once, but that's all.
Thor might stop him but will Doomsday keep regenerating? Hammer's got magic too, but will it be what's needed?
How would Doomsday battle with Amazo? Being self absorbed might be of help.
Thor and Ms. Marvel vs. Doomsday would be enough of a three-for-all for me! :-)
Cut the Hulks loose and even Doomsday will go down.
Tobor raises an interesting question. Would even Doomsday be immune to the power-absorbing touches of Rogue or the Parasite?
I have the feeling that this fight would be reminiscent of the big battle at the end of Avengers: Endgame -- everyone's on the ropes, until someone pulls out a deus ex machina.
And Cary's remark is a good one. What would Rogue vs. Doomsday look like?
@Bob Greenwade: It would look like a preliminary bout prior to her main match against Cthulhu. Especially if she absorbs the combined abilities of both Orange Lantern Starro and the Totalitarians, too!
Considering DC loves to find ways of saying "what worked before won't work now" and the best way to stop Doomsday 'temporarily' is to suck him into the Phantom Zone, I don't think the Avengers would be able to stop him.
Unless they used a Roxxon Nth projector.
Is that made of Nth metal?
Couldn’t Vision or Kitty Pryde/ShadowCat just phase into Doomsday’s head and then solidify, turning his brain to mush?
#Anon614: quite possibly. Roxxon's Nth Command specialized in the pirating of natural resources from other-dimensional universes. Why not Nth metal from the DC multiverse?
@Bobbo: quite possibly. The real question, though, is would it permanently stay mush?
@Anon105: highly doubtful.
@Carycomic: Hey! That was _my_ line (from STF #4153)!
@Anon113: Sorry! Couldn't resist. ;-D
Absolutely awesome cover!
What Glen said. :-)
