Archie, Betty and Veronica were the original "guy checking out a cute girl walking by, thus upsetting the girl he's with" meme. Archie didn't know how good he had it - no matter which of the two was on a date with him, he always thought the grass was greener elsewhere and his eyes and attention would wander. Adding a Blonde Bombshell like Black Canary to the mix would be sure to complicate matters further.

Ah, yes! The old inflatable boxing glove arrow trick. How well I remember that Silver Age trademark. I always thought Ollie might have picked that up from the gimmicks Batman '66 carried in his utility belt!
Great meshing of images, Ross. Was this partly derived from an Archie Comics digest cover?
Haha Please Don't ask me to remember which Archie Story is was, there's like a billion of them and I make these covers months in advance.
From Batman maybe, but not Batman '66. Green Arrow's boxing glove arrow dates back to Adventure Comics in 1947.
This is funny! We needed a breather issue after that Captain America and Karate Kid saga. Nice work, Ross
But, with her skill, would Dinah let the glove "smack" Archie?
Cary, the Batman '66 writers cherry picked from all the stories DC had done. There was a lot to be inspired from.
Dinah could give the girls some lessons on how to keep a roguish man focused.
@Tobor & Anon842: Yeah! But, this is beatnik-bearded Ollie, remember. Not GAGA (Golden Age Green Arrow) who now only exists on post-Flashpoint Earth 2.* Hence, my semi-facetious reference to the Silver Age TV Batman.
*Except, perhaps, on the rare occasions that particular counterpart gets teleported to Earth-STF by the on-going time war between Degaton, Kang, Zarrko, and the Time Trapper.
Oliver Queen teaches archery to Betty Cooper. Hilarity ensues.
I'd definitely buy this comic.
What Bob said.
Nice one Ross!
Makes me hope all the more to one day seeing Dane Whitman meet his distaff namesake from Zenescope.
@Carycomic: "And semi-facetious is also half-serious."
