If anyone can detect the presence of an invisible, intangible spirit, it's got to be Sherlock Holmes. I've enjoyed tales where Holmes investigates cases with a supernatural element to them, so this is a story that might be cool to see play out.

Wow!!! The Peter Cushing version of Sherlock Holmes from the Hammer Films version of HOTB? If so, I salute your choice. It's extremely appropriate that the likeness a horror film icon should solve the murder of a ghost's former corporeal self.
Whether or not this is taking place in gas-lit London, discourtesy of Per Degaton, I leave up to my fellow readers to debate.
A Holmes/Dracula mix-up is something I've seen in book form. Seems a natural for your efforts.

@Emsley and Ross: only as a short subject review of the indie-published comic book, And that's one comic book that never made it to any of the shops I frequent in Connecticut!
So, perhaps, someday, in the hopefully not-so-distant future, you could do your own version of it, after all.
