If anyone can detect the presence of an invisible, intangible spirit, it's got to be Sherlock Holmes. I've enjoyed tales where Holmes investigates cases with a supernatural element to them, so this is a story that might be cool to see play out.

Wow!!! The Peter Cushing version of Sherlock Holmes from the Hammer Films version of HOTB? If so, I salute your choice. It's extremely appropriate that the likeness a horror film icon should solve the murder of a ghost's former corporeal self.
Whether or not this is taking place in gas-lit London, discourtesy of Per Degaton, I leave up to my fellow readers to debate.
A Holmes/Dracula mix-up is something I've seen in book form. Seems a natural for your efforts.
That's been done on film as well.
i’m betting that the murderer this time out is the inhidious Dr. Fu Manchu…
down in the Lime street docks…. - Great Idea…
Ah, yes! Sir Christopher Lee's second-best known film role. Which is why I've occasionally hoped for a movie poster simulation.
"Dracula vs. Fu Manchu in...RETURN OF THE 7 GOLDEN VAMPIRES!"
Doyle believed in ghosts, so why not?
I wonder how Holmes and Watson would do against the Gentleman Ghost?
@Emsley and Ross: only as a short subject review of the indie-published comic book, And that's one comic book that never made it to any of the shops I frequent in Connecticut!
So, perhaps, someday, in the hopefully not-so-distant future, you could do your own version of it, after all.
#Anon@307: There's a 1981 BBC radio play based on the ACD pastiche "Sherlock Holmes vs. Dracula: The Adventure of the Sanguinary Count" that can be listened to on Youtube. In case you're interested!
