These two were set to become the big bads of their respective cinematic universes, but things have not gone as planned. The end of the DCEU and Snyderverse means that Darkseid will probably be put on the back burner for a while. Jonathan Majors' legal issues have put everything Kang related into a holding pattern until a verdict on his alleged assault is reached. It's a good thing we have Braniac and Galactus to pinch hit if necessary.

Just give them some soft pretzels, hot dogs, and something to drink and the audience is good to go.
And this cover ...is...WICKED!!!
Whoa! If you saved this conflict for today, I can't wait to see what you've got in store for Thursday!!
oh such Fun, Kang’s Armies vs Darksied’s Appocoliptic hoards… let battle begin ..
Tobor understated it; this cover is downright scary, and it looks like the start of a war whose story will take many issues to tell.
As for the MCU's Kang, fortunately all of the Phase Five work where he's likely to appear have already wrapped: Quantumania is on Disney+, Loki Season 2 is in post-production, and any voice work for What If...? Season 2 has been done for a while. Some version of Kang may cameo in, say, The Marvels or Agatha: Coven of Chaos, but I wouldn't expect anything significant until Fantastic Four at the earliest, or possibly the fifth Thor film currently being developed.
I think this would have been great with anniversary issue with conflicts as smaller battle. Great artwork combination however!
If they need to replace Kang, then bring in Immortus with a different actor. Or one of Kang's other alternate identies. The general plan can still be done even if it necessary to change the arc villain.
@Wild Card, no problem. Look at the different actors playing Superman at the same time on CW during Crisis on Infinite Earths...3 different actors at the same time.
@Tobor: Well, three in the same production. Tom Welling was just a cameo; only Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh were really major parts of the story.
I'd love to see a sequel to your Phantom and Phantom Stranger cover, which is the one that first made me aware of this fantastic site. Well done on your continued daily covers. I don't know how you do it.
@Bob and Tobor: shame on you two! Forgetting the Spider-Trio from "...NO WAY HOME."
I mean, yes, they were in a Marvel Film. But, it was still a perfect example of three different actors meshing perfectly well as the same character.
