Doctor Who and The Silver Surfer in: "Empire, Interrupted!"

With so much talk about The Fantastic Four coming to the MCU, I'm surprised that we have not heard a peep about when the Silver Surfer is set to appear.  He is one of the only big silver age characters that they still have to bring into the fold.   I know Marvel and Keanu Reeves have been trying to find a way to work together, and I think he's be a pretty good fit for Norrin Radd.

These two space travelling heroes previously joined forces in STF #3188...

WHOA! This has _got_ to top all your other crossovers to date. Norrin Radd; the 4th Doctor; Death Star I; and a droid whose head is shaped like an X-wing!!*

I honestly don't know who else but you, Ross, could bring these four disparate elements** together, so imaginatively. It makes me wonder if the Sontarans reverse-engineered that infamous "technological terror."

*A Bizarro version of Japan's Ultraman?

**Always wanted to use those words. :-D

Seriously, though; who's the rocket-headed robot in the pilot's seat?

He's probably the android Capt. Marvel from M.F.E. Comics...after passing too close to a pulsar in the Wolfman/Kane/Hannigan System.

@Cary: Lol!!!

Or maybe he's a Marvel UK character (as the Doctor was), perhaps from the same maker as Deathshead?

As good a hypothesis as any.

@Carycomic: I like the Japanese Bizarro Ultraman Theory, better.

Don't know if anyone will see this, but the pilot is Machinehead, from the Freefall Warriors, from Marvel UK:
