The Discovery/Warner Bros. merger is finally underway and reports are coming out that revitalizing their comic book properties in print and in film it a top priority for the new brass. Superman was singled out as a character with far too much potential to be squandered the way he has, and that sentiment holds for most of the rest of DC's roster. It will be interesting what changes we will see in the next few years and if the DCEU can find its own version of Kevin Feige to give it a cohesive vision.

Well, that's good news, at least. I'm with you -- DC needs its own Kevin Feige. I had thought, until recently, that Geoff Johns had taken that role, and comparing the timing of when he stepped away with what's happened since has me somewhat wishing that he was still there.
About Gargoyle, I once had this conversation in my head:

It would be most fitting if WB recruited, for that role, the English actor named...David Warner.

In 2015, he executive-produced, as well as starred in, the mystery short subject "Blue Borsalino." He was the voice of the animated version of Ra's Al Ghul on television for, at least, ten years. And, in 1979, he co-starred in "Time After Time" as Dr. John L. Stephenson...alias Jack the Ripper. That role, alone, giving him some experience at being an occasionally "cut-throat" businessman.*
*Immediately starts fleeing from a barrage of rotten Easter eggs.

But, speaking of forgettable villains; I have to wonder if those humongous arms belong to Queen Syrene's ex-husband? That evil wizard from the future who briefly fissioned Superman during a pre-Crisis story arc in Action Comics?
That would've been Action Comics (v.1) #527, if memory serves.
