Ghost Rider and Doctor Fate in: "Grudge Match!"

Black Adam has completed shooting, so hopefully we will start seeing some promotional material for it, at least as far as to how all the characters will look in the film.  I have a feeling that there may be some special effects that go into bringing Doctor Fate to life, so it may still be a while before we see how he will be visualized.

This rivalry started a while ago.  The imprisonment that Ghost Rider speaks of here took place way back in STF #233. Dr. Fate didn't get along much better with Danny Ketch in STF #2391...

......... ...W O W... Congratulations on the Back Issue shout out!
All the more so since Michael Eury worked in the comics directly.

Seconded!
Definitely well deserved shout-out!

I read an item somewhere that Pierce Brosnan's costume as Dr. Fate would be CGI - hopefully it's better than Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern get-up from a few years back! Fate made a pretty decent appearance on Smallville... So we'll see if he ends up "shaken or stirred" in Black Adam...

A Circus of Souls? What a rush! Roller Coaster of Fate? oh, yes.

Eh What's up Doc? Wasn't Dwayne Johnson just on ET with a shot of him as Black Adam sitting on a throne? May pop up in utube.
Kuddos on being seen by the Tomorrow People.

Great idea for a match up! Zarathos vs Nabu is a brilliant pairing I would never have thought of! Love this! And congrats on the Back Issue shout-out!!

Another delayed-action trilogy that no one else was brilliant enough--or, at least, continuity-minded enough--to think of and suggest. :-)

Bravo!

By the way; if ever you wanted to officially have the Ross-verse added to Jeff Christiansen's "Marvunapp Alternate Earth" website, what numerical designation would you prefer? I would tentatively recommend Earth-2011254. But, this is your intellectual property, so naturally you have the final word.

This battle promises to have lots of action, flash, and property damage. (Amusement parks are one of those locations that have to pay extra on their property insurance's superhero battle coverage.)

This is a pairing that probably should be revisited from time to time, rather like you've been doing but just a tad more frequently. Specifically I'd like to see him handling Carter Slade, and/or setting aside his differences with Johnny Blaze to combat a common foe.

While I may have heard some passing remark about Pierce Brosnan being cast as Doctor Fate, this is the first time it's sunk in. The last time I saw him he looked like he'd put on a few pounds, but not so much as to be unable to quickly muscle up for the role of Doctor Fate. Like Dave, I really liked Brent Stait's appearance as the character on Smallville, and it'll be interesting to see how Pierce's performance compares.

(I liked Brent's performance well enough, in fact, that I definitely wouldn't object to a photo cover with him and Nicolas Cage or Benedict Cumberbatch!)

@Cary: Of course, one shouldn't forget the other nicknames besides "Ross-verse," such as Ross' preferred "Earth-STF" or my personal favorite, "The STFU."

I second Mike's quite brilliant suggestion. I can just picture a word balloon in Fate's distinctive style with a "*sigh*" in it.

I remember this cover from an old Marvel Team-Up. It was my first real introduction to Ghost Rider.

As to your note about Black Adam, I hope Dwayne Johnson actually plays a role with this character. Too often, his movies are the same thing over and over. Compared to someone like Dave Bauista, who actually creates characters for his varied parts. Don't get me wrong, I like Dwayne, but I want to see him act. Black Adam is not just another 'action hero'. I hope it's played correctly.

When the MCU brings back Ghost Rider I hope it's the classic Johnny Blaze version or at least the 90s Danny Ketch version. I like Ghost Rider on a motorcycle not in a car.

Eh! Nicholas Cage, as John Milton, could drive rings around Johnny Blaze.
