Watching the Inner Earth segments of the silly but tons of fun Godzilla Vs. Kong reminded me a lot of the world of The Herculoids, and how cool a modern take would be on the Hanna Barbera property. We are at a place where CGI could convincingly bring Zandor and company to life, but I wouldn't mind seeing an updated animated version either. One way or another, I hope to see The Herculoids return some day.

In Cartoon Quest, aSbo-Go Channel programming block, the humans in the introduction were dressed like the Herculoids.
Yes! I've been wanting to see Galactus visiting other planets besides Earth. It'd be great to see him on worlds like Naboo, Cybertron, or Vulcan too, though the two planets that might be most interesting would be Krypton (how the planet really ended) or Mogo!
And I agree with you about the Herculoids reboot. Perhaps a streaming-service series would be the best thing. Given how Warner currently owns the Hanna-Barbera properties, it'd probably end up on HBO Max, though I'd rather it was on Prime Video or maybe Netflix.
On another topic, I'd love to see someone on this blog drop in on the Land of the Lost. (Maybe Deadpool? Or... Mars Attacks!)
I agree with Bob, re: the Star Wars angle. Zandor fits the description of a Zeishon Sha warrior, perfectly. And Tundro could easily be a T'chuuktai Jedi Guardian! As for the bargain mentioned by Galactus? He probably kept Palpatine's Empire out of the Amzot Quasar region. But, at what price?
Dorno as his new herald?
Anon 8:12: I meant Sci-Fi Cnannel.
Hey BG, Galactus vs Mars Attacks?? He might (?) translate the ack aks.
Galactus vs Phantom Girl's planet? And if population size doesn't matter, then G. vs War Planet. Tho I really like the idea of G vs the Impossible Man's home world.
Is this the Galactus who was voiced by Paul Frees (along with the Watcher) on an episode of FF'67 from Hanna-Barbera?
This Galactus is from the Fantastic Four 1996 Cartoon which ran in 1994/95.
@Cary: "the Star Wars angle"? My only Star Wars reference was suggesting that Big G might show up on Naboo (though there are other worlds in SW's galaxy that might work at least as well).
That's exactly the point I thought you were trying to make. :-)
@Bob, did you ever see the Superman\F.F. tabloid? Want to guess if Galaxy is was in the with Cyborg Superman? And comments about Krypton?
Galaxy = Galactus The = there
Cartoon Network would probably make a funny Herculoids cartoon, like Thundercats Roar and Teen Titans Go.
@Cary: OK. Your follow-up comments didn't quite, well, follow (planets vs. people), but maybe I'm just missing a connection.
@Tobor: No, I don't think I ever did see that.
@Bob: the old "Forest-for-the-trees" syndrome, eh?
Ross, a minor point.
You've put Superman against Thor. How about Superman vs evil magical Loki?
@Horsefeathers: would that be a Super-spectacle? Or just a "Loki" event?
Neither. It'd be a Disney at Home Box Office special.
@my namesake: DHBO? Sounds like some kind of psychiatric disorder. ;-)
Galactus to Godzilla "Nice doggie. Go fetch." And so was born the new herald.
If you're referring to the laser-ray dragon, that's Zoc. On the other hand, that might be an even more interesting confrontation. Galactus and Herald Zoc vs. GL Godzilla!
Talk about a three-for-all.
yes....
the above idea of Galactus with new herald Zoc vs the Green Lantern Godzilla will be supercool when Ross gets around to.....
