DEADPOOL and DEADSHOT, the Deadheads, at a bar near you.
Love your works but I have to admit, I'm getting frustrated because I really, really want to read this book.
DC's rush to team up the Justice League, leading to an unnecessarily weak Batman vs Superman and Joss Whedon's nigh-ruination of Justice League, resulted in an overall weakening of enthusiasm for the DCEU. The great work on Wonder Woman (and WW84, which I haven't seen yet) and Aquaman offset that somewhat, and The Suicide Squad looks to continue that (Birds of Prey notwithstanding), but disruptions from COVID have been working against them. And so, anything not in the established DCEU canon will have to take a back seat until things can get sorted. We can only hope that the Flash film will sort out events -- including, for the audience's sake, adjusting the events of Justice League to the Snyder version.
The Arrowverse, on the other hand, seems a bit less intent on staying closely connected. I know that I'm not the only person who finds it annoying that Supergirl had a global phenomenon in Obsidian that wasn't even mentioned on the other shows. That's not the only continuity break among the shows, but it's the biggest, and the combination of the lot has made things start to feel like they're in separate universes.
@Horsefeathers: For BR & AB, you'll probably have to ask DC to do that, or try to get a fanfic going.
For the "Deadheads," don't forget Deadman (whom I was going to suggest meet Deadpool, until finding that it happened almost two years ago in #2574).
@Ross: Seeing Deadman like this makes me wonder if we could have a team of heroes who can walk through walls: Vision, Shadowcat, the Martian Manhunter, Ghost*, and so forth. The Intangibles!
*Referring here to the Dark Horse character -- though seeing her pitted against the Marvel Comics villain. You could further mix things up by adding the Nedor hero and DC villain!
Don't want to spread Deadman too thin. He is already a member of The Roustabouts - and will be joining another team to debut shortly.
How about Deadpool vs. Evil Ernie? Or Deadpool vs. that self-styled main man, Lobo? Or, failing them, a Wilson Boys reunion?*
*Deadpool and Deathstroke haven't worked together since STF #583!
Well, there's still those others (plus Phantom Girl, whom I'd embarrassingly forgotten about earlier). And I think there's also at least one character from My Hero Academy who'd fit.
So, nobody got my "good night moon" reference? I even used the same font from the classic bedtime story!
How would Rocket Racoon and Groot see Black Racer?
is there a bad "day moon" also?
I was completely unfamiliar with "Good Night Moon." I'll look for it; I have a feeling it'll explain a certain segment of Animaniacs.
