Batman and The All-New Outsiders
This was the 201st B&B cover I made, That's one more issue than the actual series ran, so I wanted to do something special. My first thought was to do a version of one of my all time favorite covers, All-Star Squadron #1. My idea was to have Batman forming a new team. Now, who to populate it with? Well I started two of my favorite characters in their funkiest looks: Iron Man With A Nose, and Silver Age Adult Robin (I love that costume!). For their potential teammates, I just want down my list of charactes that I wanted to get to but hadn't yet. I can't say the will never get their own appearance, but at least I could cameo them here. I think Batman could pick a great team out of these candidates.

If you're serious about characters on this cover eventually teaming up with Batman, here's a vote for Red Sonja. I'm surprised Sabrina the Teenage Witch hadn't made it into the preliminaries on the table and wall, but who knows what may happen...
Red Sonja is a character that has stymied me, I just can't get a cover to work to my satisfaction. One of these days....
I love the Earth-2 Robin costume as well. I always thought it a shame that when DC Direct put out the action figure, it was wearing the Red/Yellow/Green outfit. Long live the Grey/Yellow/Blue!
You are clearly a man of exquisite taste!
Congrats on posting the blessed issue # 201! Please keep it up!
All Star Squadron, my favorite comic book ever! Truly you've made something really special with this one.
BTW yes I agree with your assessment of the Earth-2 Robin uniform.
The sight of Chance Falconer in that line-up is going to have me smiling for the rest of the day.

Leave it to Chance was such a fantastic series, it's a shame it is no appreciated as much as it should be. I'd love to see Chance's adventures animated some day.
Would love to see a Chance Team-up. And I too just dig that Robin of Earth 2 costume so very much!
I haven't read his stories, so when I see this costume I always think Adult Silver Age Robin is you, Ross.
Props to IMWAN, too!
