This is the First time that The Outsiders have met X-Factor, but as the X-Men, these groups have a bit of history on the blog - The Outsiders first tried to tame The Phoenix in STF #3454 and first met her in STF #112, and the one hero able to withstand The Phoenix Force was revealed in STF #2526... The X-Men came to The Outsiders assistance in STF #2595... and both teams had an adventure at The Statue of Liberty in STF #2675...

Why not? If Ross has never yet pit Black Lightning against the Black Panther, a Wakanda/Markovia War would make a great pretext!
Was hoping for a Looker / Marvel Girl conflict since both have telepathy (Marvel Girl would hate her attention to Cyclops) but I guess a Looker / Phoenix prior to her becoming Dark would more appropriate.
He's teamed them twice before. But, the last one was STF #2127. Over six years ago!
I'm surprised Marvel Girl wasn't pitted against Geo-Force, on this cover, seeing as how both of them wearing the same color-schemed outfit! ;-)
Love these team, team-ups I know the X-factor comes from them meeting the Alliance of Evil, but who are the Outsiders fighting?
Geo force beats Angel, Jean defeats Halo, Cyclops takes down Black Lightning, Metamorpho bests Ice Man, Beast wins over Katana. Then Kobra and Apocalypse are revealed to be behind everything before Batman shows up to resolve everything.
I know that I rea X-Factor when the series began, but I can not remember how Beast stopped being blue and furry. I found out years later how he got stuck that way, but don't remember how/when he was cured.
like Batman or Spider-Man or Wolverine, The X-Teams are being strangled by all the different writers with their own ideas..continuity not needed.
