This is another pairing that has been long overdue. I never read too much of Mr. A, but I was intrigued by his rigid take on life and crime. It would have been interesting to see him confront the wall-crawler, especially if such a meeting was depicted by Steve Ditko.

How about Mister A meeting Mister E (that obscure DC character with the white coat, I think)? If we can find enough characters whose names feature just one letter, maybe we can make a team that actually spells something. Like an anagram with people. That'd be cool.
Also, I read a Red Tornado story today that said he had an apartment in Greenwich Village. I can't remember the comic now, but the idea has since led me to want a Red Tornado and Doctor Strange story.
Also, Hercules from Marvel vs Charlton's Son of Vulcan! I bet nobody knows about Charlton's Son of Vulcan (I only know of him due to wikipedia), but I now desperately want to see him on here.
And I have at least one more idea to throw out there. I think I threw it out before, but Bob Hope from DC's Bob Hope comics and Millie the Model from Marvel could be really interesting to see together.

Red Bee & Bumblebee should fight Swarm who is entering the DC Universe from all time periods.
Namor & the Metal Men would be in a fix caught in between a battle with giant foes Orka & Chemo.
HKP & Sad Sack vs Joker & the Bulletman foe from the JLA /Earth-S team up.
It'd be neat to have Mr. Mxyzptlk be defeated by the Inhumans who summon The Shirt Tales to spell his name backwards on their t-shirts.
The A-T-E Team = Mr. A teams with Mr. T & Mr. E to take on world devourer Galactus.
Reddy & Dr. Strange can battle a Dormammu infused weather wand making The Weather Wizard live up to his name.
Firestorm & Deathlok can fight Blizzard & the Breathtaker.
Metamorpho & Darkhawk vs Silvermane (who resembles Stagg) & the Man-Hawks.
Puma should team up with the Thundercats who had a Puma based member at 1 point..
^ The Bulletman foe was the Weeper who got me confused with Willie The Weeper from a Joker series issue.
We could’ve had a more “mature” comic with Mr’s T & A!

Or, failing all them, I'd settle for Shang-Chi vs. Shang Tsung and Quan Shi.

@Ben W: he's actually Rex Graine, investigative reporter for the Daily Crusader. Like Spidey, he's a brain-child of the late, great Steve Ditko. But, like the original Rorschach of Watchmen fame, he's an anal-retentive moralist who only sees right and wrong in absolutes. Strictly black and white rather than dark grays and light grays.

@Anon830: only trouble is, Mr. A didn't have powers of interdimensional teleportation a la the Phantom Stranger. So, I'm guessing these two are being subjected to some more of Lord Nightmare's psychedelic shenangigans.

It'd be great to see Spidey fight Spider-Girl & the LOSV in the future with some other Marvel characters. Maybe with the Imperial Guard in tow.
It might be more fun to see how Mr. A might react to the Silver Age Hawk and Dove.
