I can see Eclipso taking an interest in these two young crimefighters, as they represent darkness and light that work together. He would probably get a twisted thrill out of attempting to corrupt one or the other, to break up their effective alliance. Let's hope their personal bonds are enough to overcome his machinations.

Why do you always have the villain co-star as VS instead of AND? Part of the fun of those old team up books was when they had a villain costar that the hero was forced to work with on an adventure.
I wouldn't say always, but it's usually the case due to the situations the images present. Plus I just like seeing the bad guys being bad.
Especially given that Eclipso was, at least in his initial incarnation, a distillation of the evil in one man. Other villains could BE evil, Eclipso WAS evil.
An interesting "AND" would be a hero and villain teaming up (say, Captain America and Lex Luthor) to save the world, but extralegal measures are required.
