Now that the Snyder-verse has more or less come to a close with The Flash (and its less than stellar box office receipts), James Gunn, Peter Safran and DC can start to get their new DCU underway, beginning with Superman Legacy. Casting announcements seem imminent, and I've liked some of the names I've heard rumored for Clark, Lois and Lex. It'll still be some time before we see any footage, but at least Superman and Lois has been renewed on TV for one more season (sadly minus the entire supporting cast) to tide us over.

I'd rather see Ultra Humanite than Lex. Actually, I'd rather see any villain besides Lex, Terra Man even. If they truly have no imagination and need to use Lex for the billionth time, they should do the slow burn Marvel used with Thanos.
I suspect Captain's crimes somehow involve either the devastation of Krypton's resources leading to the planet's demise, or.something involving Lois Lane.
Reading Stan Lee's version of Superman, I wonder if Marvel's Captain Marvel was their version of Superman

I had to go look up the show's Wikipedia page (and whatever else I could find on Bing) to see what was up. With only the Kents continuing and a new actor as Lex Luthor (probably with no reference at all to Jon Cryer's portrayal, thus throwing the show out of the Arrowverse altogether), I doubt that I'll be watching -- especially if the report from Forbes is true that it'll be on HBO (or Max).
I love the Kents on this show, but the dynamic with the Ironses, the Cushing/Cortezes, and Sam Lane makes the show really pop. What, are the Kents moving back to Metropolis?
I've especially enjoyed Tayler Buck (Nat Irons) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang Cushing). Both are delightful actresses... and yes, I find Emmanuelle a real treat for the eye.
@Steve: We've seen Ultra-Humanite in Stargirl. What we haven't seen are Parasite, or comics-accurate versions of Brainiac or Mxyzptlk (though Michael J. Pollard's version on Superboy came close).
Personally, I nominate Martin Klebba to play Mxyzptlk.
@Anon@8:13: Actually, Marvel's answer to Superman is Hyperion. In fact, the entire Justice League is represented by the Squadron Supreme.
Between that and the Imperial Guard, Marvel's been much better at doing DC pastiches than vice versa.
@Bob The show was revealed to be separate from the Arrow-verse in the season two finale, when General Lane mentioned seeing other Earths and their "Leagues of heroes" and how even though they ONLY have Superman, at least he's the best of them all.
@Ross & Bob Greenwade: speaking of Super-Skrull. Do you think that if Superman's foe, the Parasite, absorbed all the powers of the Totalitarians that he might be able to take on Cthulhu (from STF #4070) one-on-one?

"No Jimmy! Mar-Vell can't stay among us here in the land of the living. He has to go back!" Jim Starlin's Captain Marvel is still one of my favorites. Back in the '70's, Starlin took a title that was floundering, and basically created the foundation of the MCU.
