Wonder Girl and Marvel Boy

Once I started this cover, I began to wonder what took me so long. Not only do their names seem to go together, their costumes do as well - it seems like a natural combination.

I'm always happy to use artwork by Irv Novick, an underrated talent that illustrated many of my favorite Silver and Bronze age tales.  I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of original page by him several years ago, one with inks by Dick Giordano, the other by Murphy Anderson:

I wonder if they're battling an Eternal version of Hekate?

Hey Ross, this crossover got me to thinking. Wonder Girl is Donna Troy, and Star Trek: The Next Generation has Deanna Troi. Have you considered this crossover?

P.S.---you could even entitle it "The Women of Troy"!

That's unusual for you to spotlight two characters (Marvel Boy/Quasar and Wonder Girl) in two different team-ups in the same week without an apparent connection in the plot. Hmmm....

I think Captain Britain's costume from early issues of Excalibur would go well with Skyman's costume from Infinity Inc (now being used on Stargirl).

Just a coincidence, Chuck - for some reason I never connect Quasar and Marvel Boy in my mind.

It doesn't have to be a coincidence. Think about it!

Robin and Iron Man are captured by Titanium Man and the KGBeast. Prompting the Black Widow to hire Deathstroke to help her rescue them.
Meanwhile, the Teen Titan are investigating the distribution of some new designer drug by the Circus of Crime. A drug being smuggled into the U.S. by the Russian Mob. And which Cyborg's father thinks is an offshoot of the legendary Super Soldier Serum. The same one previously used on Jack Ryder by Dr. Yatz! But, thanks to her alien heritage, Starfire recognizes what the drug truly is.

Liquefied symbiote.

The symbiotes are being captured in outer space, and brought to Earth, by Sinestro. They are then liquefied by scientists in the employ of Hellfire Club President Selene. Dr. Fate tries to stop her. But, Venom (mind-controlled by her via the Serpent Crown) prevents this. Whereupon, the Teen Titans confer with Quasar. Leading to a flashback, on Wonder Girl's part, to an run-in she and his predecessor had with Selene during the early 1950's. Inspiring her to deduce where the scientists are doing their dirty work!

Unfortunately, the facility is being guarded by the Champions. Resulting in a diversionary attack upon them by the JLA.
