Alas, no Wolverine or X-Men announcements at D23 this week. I've heard repeated rumors that Marvel is looking at Taron Edgerton for the role. I wasn't sure about that until I saw some recent pictures of him, where has clearly put on weight and is currently very physically fit. I don't know if that's for another role or if he's prepping to play Logan, but he's definitely starting to look the part.
Wolverine and Black Lightning previously battle Sentinels in STF #3412...

Yeah, right! Let's see him abstain if his cigar gets sprayed with a fire extinguisher by a non-smoking by-stander.
@Ross: is this a prequel to STF #3412? I notice BL has longer hair and no bio-electrical powers.
STF stories jump all around the timeline.
The one objection people had with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was height. In the comics, Wolvie is 5'5", and Hugh is 6'2". Taron Edgerton's 5'10" is a step in the right direction, but another step is needed, and so far the only actor close to the correct height who's been suggested for the role is Daniel Radcliffe.
On another topic, at Rose City Comic Con this weekend I dressed as the Sixth Doctor on Friday, and managed the good fortune of getting a side-by-side photo with someone cosplaying Sabine Wren. The photo came out great, and I'm hoping we can see those two together on this blog.
Oh, and we really need to see a team-up of Black Canary and Banshee.
They met in STF #600: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-avengers-and-star-trek-and-more.html
I'm not familiar with most of the Clone Wars characters as I skipped all but the final season of that show.
As Wolverine resembled an NBA player compared to Puck of Alpha Flight, in the comics, I never had any issues with someone over 5'11" playing him in the movies.
Similar to how the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan was more linguistically plausible than the ERB original (serendipitously endowed with superhuman genetic memory).
Ross,
Sabine Wren was in Star Wars: Rebels, not Clone Wars. She was the Mandalorian on the team. She's coming to live action in the upcoming Ahsoka series.
Ah, thank you. I do enjoy the new Cartoons like The Bad Batch and the trailer for the series featuring young versions of Jedis like Dooku and Windu looks cool.
I wonder how long it'll take for us to get a team-up between Padawan Dooku and/or Padawan Windu and the LSH?
Just saw a cover for a Vamiprella/Red Sonja crossover and a thought occurred, if you haven't done it already, a team up of red heads would be fun i.e. Red Sonja, Dawn, Cheryl Blossom, Maxima, Jean Grey, Archie Andrews, Jimmy Olsen, Carrot Top etc. Maybe call 'em "Ginger Force" or "The Red Guard"
Gerggory, STF has does a team of gingers called Code: Red that has made a couple of appearances.
Cool, thanks for the info
Seeing the mention of the Sentinels gave me an idea:
The Sentinels run up against the man who can talk any AI to death: James Tiberius Kirk.
