Superhero parodies have been around almost as long as superheroes themselves, and this first one I ever remember reading was Superduperman in a Mad Magazine reprint. I remember finding it hilarious and being impressed by the art - which was no wonder since it was illustrated by Wally Wood, a master of traditional comics. I was glad when I discovered the existence of Not Brand Echh! a few years later, a series that parodied Marvel heroes in a similar manner.

what is really ironic is that the Supster looks the way Superman looks now with the all blue suit and no red trunks. Don't like it since it looks more like a military uniform than a superhero costume.
This needs a follow-up with the British superhero, Bananaman
I remember that story!
It was reprinted in some anniversary issue when I was in high school. And I remember getting a kick out of seeing Superdupe duke it out with Captain Marbles. A redheaded spoof of the Golden Age Capt. Marvel-turned-bank-robbing renegade!
Btw, Ross, is this from Red Anvil's WOTI ("War Of The Independents") No. 4, wherein Meg duked it out with Madman?
Nice... and the tag is worthy of Fibber McGee!

Funny thing, after mentioning Red Sonja the other day, my journey through the backlogs happened upon #1133 where Jonah Hex gets into a fight with her. You mentioned the idea of it leading into a romance, which I whole heartedly endorse.
Please give us a follow up with Red Sonja and Jonah Hex as lovers, maybe with The Rawhide Kid or Arwyn from Sojourn revealed as their kid(s).
How about RS vs. Groo, instead?
How about Spy vs Spy going up against James Bond?
Or Spy vs Spy battling Milk and Cheese?
Or Milk and Cheese vs. Jughead, Wimpy, and Dagwood Bumstead!
@Anon832: that's certainly food for thought. ;-D
Woo!
