I'm still hoping to see something new done with Space Ghost on the big or small screen. Space Ghost: Coats to Coast was fun, but I am ready for a more serious depiction of the space faring adventurer. DC's excellent Future Quest miniseries a few years back was a perfect template for a shared Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe. I'd love to see some step taken to translate that to the movies or perhaps some new animated shows. These characters are too cool to be left on the shelf.

And, after Future Quest, DC published a number of crossovers between HB characters & their own... including one between Space Ghost and Green Lantern.
I'd say he stands a ghost of a chance, Big Red!

@Anon826: I think that's the narcolepsy-inducing purple sand of the planet Acorbia, once used against Josie and the Pussycats. Which could mean that Sinestro is being mind-controlled by that white-bearded foe of SG's known as...The Sandman!
Its going to be hard to get SG and the HB characters back up in any long-term format, I think. The differences between the Saturday morning cartoon and the Coast-to-Coast eras are such the a new version would pick up at most half of the older audience, and Warner doesn't appear to have a clue how to handle kid / wholesome teen shows. The very bad missteps over Sesame Street, how Cartoon Network hasn't had a kid-friendly hit show in several years, and pushing the adult/weird end of the DC properties (Titans, Doom Patrol, Peacemaker) on HBO Max.
Ah, this does send me back to the Green Lantern/Space Ghost team-up in the DC Meets Hanna-Barbera series (to which Simreeve alludes). Hal is probably not far away in this story, either.
And I'm with you, Ross. It might be nice someday to have more Space Ghost adventures on the screen, at least once WB and DC get their acts together (which I don't really expect in the remainder of my lifetime).

And I did not remember that Space Ghost had an opponent named The Sandman; I had to look him up. I think he'd be an interesting foe for Wesley Dodds and Flint Marko to team up against.
I can't say as I blame you, Mr. Greenwade. Sandman was a one-shot foe on "Space Ghost: TOS." An episode that detailed the lead character's only known visit to Earth. On behalf of a futuristic French Foreign Legion!
P.S.---I wonder who would win in a super-villain turf war? The Legion of Doom or the Council of Doom?
