I was happy to use an image of J'Onn J'Onzz by John Romita Jr. here, I quite like his depiction. I was lucky to be ably to pick up a couple of JR JR original pages several years back (inks by Klaus Janson and Christopher Ivy):

A team-up of hairstyles! Jonn looks as if he's giving serious thought to removing Gladiator's top-knot completely.
Actually, as that hairstyle looks more like a Mohawk, wouldn't "scalped" be a more appropriate term?
I think Gladiator should compare hairstyles with OMAC!
I'm sure they do as members of the mohawked team Task Force T.
Sorry J'onn but Kallark is the Shi'artian Manhunter now :p
(Yeah, I was just trying to remember if Gladiator was a member of Task Force T. Of course he is!)
I don't remember ever seeing J'Onn in this outfit, and I'm torn between thinking it's stupid and thinking it's awesome. I'm kind of leaning toward the latter, because of its Kirbyesque look, though I don't think we'd ever see David Harewood wearing it.
Say, here's a thought: With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness coming up in May, perhaps the STFU version could bring together a new version of the Defenders, as the Defenders of the Multiverse, consisting of a seemingly random group of heroes from various sources. My picks would be the Tangent Universe Green Lantern, Stan Lee's Flash, Iron Beetle, American Maid, Casey Jones, and Spider-Ham, but you pick who you like.
Would have liked this cover even more with THE BRAVE AND THE BALD!
HHH: That might be a decent name for a team led by J'Onn and Professor X, with Moondragon, Steel (John Henry Irons), One Punch Man, and possibly Ikkaku Madarame (from the Bleach anime).
I already used that title for a Thing Vs. Lex Luthor cover.
Fun story, Ross!
Not so fun for Jonn and Kallark, though, if Doomsday came to Earth-STF via Mars. :-(
Still, the above-mentioned team of bald heroes might be a fun gathering.
Have you done Superboy vs Gladiator since he is based on Superboy
He's met Kal El twice on the blog, but as Superman.
I still prefer the cover where Superman took on Supreme, Apollo, the Samaritan, and the Sentry...single-handedly!
