Captain America and Deadman

I think this would make for an interesting tale. Sure, Boston Brand has the acrobatic chops to be able to fight off a few bad guys while in Cap's form - but Steve Rogers is much more than just his Super Soldier Serum.  It would be fun to see regular guy Deadman put in a position where he has to give an inspirational speech or command a battalion of soldiers.

Now this is the kind of story this blog was built for. The whole range of actions and events that can occur from this type of team up are not available thru the usual story telling from most companies. A beautiful concept given life.

Ross, with this single cover, you've opened up a whole new wing in the Twilight Zone of team ups. Spider-Man and Superman exchange minds. Clark is cut back a lot on what he can do and very little to assist him in the new power level. Peter has great new abilities, but not much training in that much capabilities at once.
Along this same category, who else but Human Torch and Aquaman.
How about Wonder Woman and Ben Grimm? The potential for the stories within the stories at the human interest level is "appreciable".
Cause for the switches could be machines, magic, or aliens. And This M.M.A. is just waiting to be boldly explored.

I agree with all of you. Physically, Deadman would have no trouble duplicating Cap's acrobatics and what not while in his body. But. to rally others behind him? That would require Deadman acting the polar opposite of how Boston Brand used to act while still alive!

Not so easy as it sounds, I'm sure.

@det_Tobor: How about the Torch and J'onn J'onzz...?

For this cover, Ross, I can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been said. Well done.

@Tobor: I don't think body-swapping has been done on this blog, other than way back in #1116 when the Defenders were swapped with the Inferior 5 (the story is even titled "Body Swap!"). In the comics, I know of Spider-Man and Wolverine being swapped, and Ambush Bug once found a shiny red rock that he decided to show to his good buddy Superman.

But for this blog, I think the most interesting swap would be Legion and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Besides the name similarity, there's also the very thought of each Legionnaire being swapped with a different one of Legion's multiple personalities, while only one Legionnaire at a time gets to use Legion's body.

@Ross: Speaking of the Inferior 5, we haven't seen them since they went up against Galactus in #2612. I realize that the number of available images is rather small, but maybe we could see them dealing with Godzilla, the Sinister Six, or Predator, or teaming up with Captain America or the Punisher. Or, just to crank up the silliness, Mars Attacks the Inferior 5!

@Bob Buethe: thought about J.J., but nope. After the initial shock, he won't need to adapt very much the way Aquaman would for flying in the air and throwing fireballs.

Echo what the other guys said. Inspired.

Imagine trying to throw the shield.

Bob G, for a different flavour, I could see the Inferior 5 teaming up with Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Uncle Scrooge.

Another interesting match up could show the different interactions with historical figures by Kid Eternity and Mr. Peabody, possibly with someone like the Atom, as a backup.

Even more interesting would be the TMNT being led into battle by a katana-wielding Mickey Mouse!

@Anon@5:11: I was about to ask if there are actually any pictures of Mickey Mouse wielding a katana, then looked it up for myself. There are only a couple, and I think it'd be a major challenge to find TMNT pictures to go with them. Even so, I agree that it'd be an interesting match-up (not enough to actually second the idea, but enough to not think it couldn't work).

With his brand of humor Boston will still need all of SHIELD's help to pull it off.

Or maybe just SHIELD Agent Sharon Carter and her great-grandfather Bruce Carter III. Aka The Fighting Yank!
