Power Girl and The Hulk

One of the big rumors for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is that we will be seeing cameos by established MCU heroes as played by other actors, either from previous movie franchises or castings that didn't quite work out.  I am trying to avoid to many spoilers to see if this is true and if so, who exactly will show up.  Still, one I'd love to see is Edward Norton's Bruce Banner/Hulk.  I don't know what the relationship is between Norton and Marvel following his replacement with Mark Ruffalo a decade or so back, but it would be a pretty cool moment to see him show up.

Great cover, Ross. Everything about this cover works so well, including the color contrast.

Am guessing Luke (and maybe the rest of the mid-70s Defenders) are just off panel and ready to rumble.

Christopher, with a title like this cover has, it could be a different Luke.

A great team up and a great homage to Crisis as well.

@Anon & Chris: that'd be a great idea for a sequel. Cage and Skywalker fighting for the affections of Power Girl! That way, Ross could entitle it...

"Put Up Your Lukes!"

Just yesterday I posted on Twitter a short list of cameos that we could but probably won't get in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Two of the names were Peter Hooten and Jack Coleman, who played Doctor Strange in the 1978 TV-movie and the Disney XD family of animated series, respectively (though Liam O'Brien did more of the latter work). Another was "Croctor Strange" from the Spider-Ham universe.

(For the curious, the rest of the list was Tom Hiddleston, Ryan Reynolds, Jamie Chung, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Dr. Michio Kaku.)

A name I probably should have included was Lou Ferrigno. He's stated that he'd be thrilled to come back for such a thing, but I doubt that it'd occur to Sam Raimi (brilliant though he is) to bring him.

@Unknown: I started to include Nicholas Hammond, but since he didn't get a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home I doubt he'd appear in this movie.

@emsley: The classic Superman/Supergirl cover from Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 is actually based on a classic painting, whose title I forget (and can't find right at the moment), and had been pastiched before -- most notably on Uncanny X-Men #136, a few years prior. The Crisis cover is the most memorable, of course, and it's been homaged and lampooned in that context dozens of times.

@Cary: Regardless of the motivation for the fight, I do think that that would be a fun match-up and title.

@anonymous and @Cary - well done. The Sweet Christmas is strong in you both.

@Carycomic: Or maybe "Lukes Like Trouble!"

Bob Greenwade said...

@Other Bob: That's an even better title!

Then we can have Danny and Han show up in: "Lukes Aren't Everything!"

@Cary & Both Bobs: throw in Mirror Master and Agent Faraday, and Ross could call it... "Through the Luke/King Glass!"

@Anonymous716: make it Elvis Presley instead of King Faraday and you've got a deal. ;-D

I think we may have just come up with a good trilogy. :)
