Crisis in the Marvel Universe!
The heroes of the Marvel Universe really shouldn't be surprised by this development... they were warned of the impending danger by The Flash back in STF #573, and indeed first became aware of the threat way back in STF #100...
My original goal when I switched over to making Super-Team Family covers was to hit STF #500, and I am pleased that I have tripled that so far! Thanks to all of the visitors and especially those who have supported me on Patreon!

Love it!
Question: on average, how long does it take you to make a cover? Do you have some massive database of images that you piece together?
Thanks.
4-5 hours generally, and yes I have a huge Image library amassed at this point.
Congrats on hitting 1500 covers in this series; that's insane to think about. And this is definitely one of my favorite ideas you've come up with. I would so love to see Anti-Monitor (One of my favorite DC villains by the way) enter the Marvel Universe. I also had another idea I thought I'd pass along, although it is a bit of an odd one. Could there be any relation between Steve Rogers and Shaggy Rogers? Anyway, congrats again, and I look forward to seeing just how many more awesome works you make.
Great accomplishment Ross!
Congrats! It's terrific that you've gone so far, yet remain so fresh and interesting everyday. Keep it up!
Man! You have the greatest sense of continuity this side of the late, great Mark Gruenwald. He NEVER permitted dangling plot threads to permanently remain dangling while he worked at Marvel! But, his successors evidently lack his fertile imagination. So, instead, they over-rely on multiversal crisis stories. Going for quantity of same as opposed to quality.
Unlike, for example, yourself. :-)
I especially loved the blurb for the Psycho-Man/Psycho-Pirate partnering. A real-life version of yesterday's story would've been a perfect lead-in for it!
P.S.---I guess what I'm basically trying to say is...Happy 1500th Anniversary!
Great work Ross, and congrats on the milestone. I wish your covers were actual comics; it'd be fantastic reading.
Congrats on 1500...and great event for the milestone!
This story seems more cooler than a second Civil War that Marvel's doing. Congrats on 1500 man.
Many thanks, Guys!
Whau! I expected that you'd got for a 'spectacular' to mark #1500, but that's really spectacular...
... and I really want to read the comic...
So, in the STF multiverse, is the Anti-Monitor's 'negative universe' the same place as the 'negative zone'? And does he control Annihilus, or Blastaar?
And still only 60 cents! What a bargain.
@Simreeve: in Ross' universe, the answer to both questions is (more likely than not)... "Yes."
In the aftermath of Crisis, I was really hoping to see more of Lady Quark, Harbinger and Pariah as well. Either separately or as a team. I particularly would have liked to see a Lady Quark mini-series. Harbinger, although I felt she needed a slight costume change (George Perez and his crazy ideas for costumes!) would have been a great answer to Marvel's Silver Surfer. But in the end, all three of these characters were rarely used and we barely saw them again. Nothing pisses me off more than great characters being created, and NOTHING done with them!!!! I still will not forgive Marv Wolfman for created Kole (the chrystal spinner) just to have her killed 5 or 6 issues later!! DUMB.
Congratulations on hitting the big 1-5-double 00 Ross! Always a true pleasure to see what covers you've cooked up everyday, and I have yet to be disappointed yet. Seriously, no bull, it's a damn shame Marvel/DC don't cruise this site for story ideas. It's their loss;)
As for the cover itself, hey who hasn't fantasized about how the MU would fare when if the Anti-Monitor attacked and put a CRISIS on their universe? I imagine big galactic guns like Thanos, Galactus, Adam warlock, the Silver Surfer, Watcher, and more would love to have words with ol'Anti first.
COVER OF THE MONTH!
Congrats! 1500 is a great accomplishment; glad you're enjoying the ride and the ideas are still flowing!
