Wonder Woman and Sub-Mariner

Wonder Woman has wrapped principal photography, so I am hoping that we will be seeing a teaser trailer in a few months.  It will be interesting to see the changes in tone this film will have after the reception to Batman v Superman.  There have already been stories about Geoff Johns taking a leadership role in the DC films going forward, but Wonder Woman was well underway before the shake up at the top.  Let's hope the film has an uplifting message of heroism and hope.

"Because of what you did to us!"

And no wonder, after Namor left the toilet seat up AGAIN! Even after they reminded him ten times. I mean it only takes a second...

And I hope the eventual trailers don't use out-takes that will never appear in the final draft of the film. I HATE IT when Hollywood does that!

Okay; that bit of half-seriousness is out of the way. Now, for the genuine review of this cover. I remember the first two issues of Marvel's CHAMPIONS (which came out around the same time as their licensed portrayal of Toho's Godzilla) featuring what you might call a "double-crossbow" wedding. Aphrodite to Ares...and Hercules to a green-haired Hippolyta!

This could be the Earth-STF version of that tale. Only, in this one, Pluto of Hades uses the 7-Headed Serpent Crown of Lemuria to brainwash Namor into abducting blonde Hippolyta...so POH can marry her, directly!

Magnificent!

I've always thought these two would be a perfect crossover. They both have strong ties with Graeco-Roman mythology and (depending on the version) a very similar level of power. Plus there's a teriffic contrast in personality between the two.

I can see Namor wanting to marry Diana and the issues that would cause.

Yes, that would be a sticky wicket--especially since on Earth-STF Wonder Woman is already married to Subby's old Invaders teammate Captain America....

@Sonofjack Well I was thinking the same thing!

Too bad this cover isn't real; I'd love to know what Namor did (or was mistakenly accused of having done).

@Kid Charlemagne: He probably tried to make Presidenta Una of Neptunia his newest queen.
