The Thing & The Vigilante / Chaselon & Spider-Man

It's a double dose of team-up action today!  I thought I would indulge myself and include a personal favorite character - Chaselon of the Green Lantern Corps.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - a sentient diamond with robotic limbs, a power ring and a mohawk is just about the coolest thing ever.  Thing/Vigilante is one of the team-ups I never got to during my Lost MTIO run, so I was glad to be able to finally include it here.

I'll second that!

Awesome cover! That Vigilante/Thing team-up would be cool!

Awright! Finally the real Vigilante! :-)

IMO, the Green Lantern Corp needs more really alien characters like Chaselon and Salaak (always liked his design) instead of more boring standard humanoids.

Ross, do you think you could pull off a Black & White cover? Or something conceptually in only grey, white, black tones?

there are a couple of Sin City covers on here that are primarily B&W...

Mogo met Ego early on in a GL/ Iron Man cover...

So that's a no-go?

okay, one request--Tintin and Billy Batson.

Think about how similar the styles are.

Hmmmm, you're right - Tintin would fit right in to CC Beck's world.

Ross I'm surprised you never caught on to the Tintin/Billy Batson similarities before. It's something that obsessed me after this latest godawful reboot from DC. If they played up that part of his character instead of the naive part, We'd probably be talking about the sixth installment of Capt. Marvel's movie franchise. I guess DC is still afraid the Big Red Cheese will eclipse the Big Blue Boy Scout once again. Can't they see success for one character is success for all? It's like they wanna snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think Webhead teaming up with Xax of Xaos against the Spider Guild would be more of a natural. Especially if Peter were revealed as the grandnephew of 1950's interim GL Donna Parker!
