Thanos and Death

Well, Thanos has made the leap to the big screen with the teaser during the end credits of The Avengers, and we know now that it is only a matter of time before he returns to appear in a full feature.  But what of Death?  I had been hearing of a film project starring the DC/Vertigo star for years with names like Winona Ryder for the lead role, but those plans seem to have gone away.  I still think there is a very cool film to be made there - possibly an adaptation of the excellent Death: The High Cost of Living mini-series.  Hopefully, that's a project that will find its way beck to the forefront one of these days.

Interesting...

How is it that a Justice League Dark film is being made and DC/Warner Bros. is still struggling with how to present their flagship characters like Wonder Woman?

The Man of Steel needs to be amazing.

I'm already starting to worry about The Avengers 2 - rumors are swirling about Jeremy Renner being re-cast and both Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johanssen not returning... Yikes!

Good choice Ross. I think Thanos will do better with this version of Death. The reason Death's movie is being held up is Gaiman's complete control and production hell. Someday, maybe. But we can make due with Ross' covers.

I remember reading that Gaimen read a script for Sandman, and said it was the worst script he has ever read.

Being so high on himself, I'm sure he'd say that. He should do the deed himself if he wants it done right to avoid the Alan Moore syndrome.

This is fun cover! ...and just like a goth chick like Death to be attracted to a bad boy like Thanos!

Coincidentally or not, I'm reading Incredible Hulk #418 which guest stars DC's death at Rick Jones' wedding to Marlo. She even mentions that creep thanos lol.

Bravo! Would be a great meeting in a crossover. Although I think Gaiman's Death is little too hip for Thanos.

It would have been more interesting if Thanos had met the CHAOS! version of Lady Death.
