Batman and Nite Owl

Doctor Manhattan and Rorschach may have had flashier roles, but my favorite character from Watchmen has always been Nite Owl.  Alan Moore created an everyman hero whose insecurities and past-his-prime physique made his return to crime fighting even more compelling.  I also liked the look of his lair and gadgets as designed by Dave Gibbons - his Owl Ship is very cool, inside and out.

...and then, when you realize that Nite Owl is really Blue Beetle = mind blown!

I really enjoyed the movie a few years back.

This is a very cool cover.

I think Nite Owl and Silk Spectre are the only characters I would care to see outside of the Watchmen storyline. What Moore did with the other characters - The Comedian, Dr. Manhattan, Ozymandias - just made them work in the context of the story he told - at least for me. He really gave them a complete beginning and end.

This is a team-up that could happen. I would really love to see a team-up between the Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Night Owl or Mravel's Nighthawk. I can't wait to see what you have instor for issue 400. Your version of Super-Team Family has run longer then DC's.

It's unusual to see two heroes from the same company in this, but these two are so far removed from each other that it still fits the general vision.

That said, I think a Nite Owl vs. Punisher cover would be cool.

How about the original Nite Owl aka Hollis Mason and retro BatMan.

Or either Nite Owl with CatWoman.
