The New Teen Titans Vs. The Defenders

I'm not sure who I would pick in a battle between these two groups.  The Defenders have more experience and raw power, but the Titans work together as a team much better than they do.  If the Titans were able to use the Defenders' dysfunction against them, they might just have a fighting chance to take the day.  Whoever came out on top, it would be a blast to read about!

Nice cover, though the word balloon placement was a bit confusing at first (I read Namor's line before Beast Boy's).

Hmmm... a Valkyrie/Donna Troy matchup... that could be fun.

There is only one way for the Titans to win this ... if Jericho makes eye contact with the Hulk it is all over.

"The Titans/Defenders war begins here!" Does that mean that it will continue later?

This strikes me as a variant on the classic "heroes fight each other before teaming up" story. Who has framed the Titans and turned the Defenders against them? Read and find out!

Bob, see that funny look that the Surfer is giving Starfire? That will have ramifications that will reveal themselves in a two parter coming up in a couple of weeks...

Awesome! I remember the 70s Avengers/Defenders War with great fondness, and have always loved the classic Namor/Hulk/Surfer/Doc quartet, with some Valkyrie thrown in.

Great work with the cover!

I have no reservations about calling this for the Defenders. Silver Surfer alone could take all the Titans, who were a strong unit but faltered against less than impressive fiends. Peachy pairing though, especially on the visual front.

Awww, yeah! Titans!

As much a Titans fan as I am, it is not hard to see that they would be defeated by The Defenders. But then they would rally and come back to beat them, because we all know that once a person grows up and becomes an adult, all the creativity and imagination is lost and that is the edge that any team like the Titans, X-Men, Legion, Runaways has...

What was the source(s) for the Defenders half? I'm intrigued by what artist drew this line-up of Defenders.

thanks
