Doctor Fate and Doctor Who

Tom Baker has always been my favorite Doctor, as he was the one I was first introduced to.  I have watched the current Doctor Who series and I really liked the performances that Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant gave in the role as well.  Matt Smith is enjoyable, but what really piqued my interest was the climax of this past season which featured (don't read further if you want to avoid spoilers)... the introduction of a new Doctor played by John Hurt!  Now I don't know if this will be for a one-off story or the new status quo, but it definitely has me looking forward to the next season.

Awesome!

I'm still making my way through the David Tennant episodes. I've seen some of the Matt Smith ones.

From what I've read John Hurt is a significant addition to the Doctor Who legacy. A shift in the order of things. It should be interesting to see how the ripple effect plays out.

I'm guessing that this is going to be along the lines of the Valeyard incarnation from "Trial Of A Timelord" (the last Colin Baker season). The Great Intelligence even mentions the Valeyard in that final episode.

It might have been funnier if the Doctor confused Dr. Fate with Sutekh (but a little confusing for 'comics-only' readers).

Doctor Fate vs Sutekh would be an epic!

Great cover

I can't believe you didn't use the Thompson Twins song "Doctor, Doctor".

Well, as you must know, by now, John Hurt's version was more like Doctor Who 8-and-a-half. Shown his own future (a la Dickens' XMAS CAROL) by a holographic doppleganger of Rose Tyler.

It might have been more fitting for these two doctors to go up against Golden Age super-villain Mr. Who. That way, you could've called it...

"Who Will Win?"
