Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Blade

I have to admit that I have never seen an episode of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.  I remember thinking that it would be an ill-fated attempt to adapt a movie that wasn't all that great to begin with.  By the time I started hearing a lot of positive buzz on the program, they were already well into the series, and I didn't think I could catch up.  Since then I have become a big Joss Whedon fan, and with the advent of Netflix and other streaming video services, it's now easy to finally check out shows that I missed the first time around.  I think it is time I put Buffy on the queue and finally see what all the fuss was about.

He may have used Morbius to maintain the overall painted look of the piece. There may not been an I,Vampire piece to match it. Either way, very cool piece.

Wow, you got old-school Blade in this one! Dyno-Mite!

Morbius was already in the pic with Blade and I thought he went well with Buffy, so I kept him there.

Have you considered doing a Buffy/Scooby Doo team-up? I think that would rock! And a Willow/Velma/Marcie (from Peanuts) teamup!

I love that you used the 70's Tomb of Dracula original version of Blade. I want to see Buffy's reaction to being called a "jive turkey" Tomb of Dracula was a fantastic series with great art and character development. Love that comic.
And Buffy is a brilliant show. I seriously changed the nature of television. It also came around at the same time the internet and interactive connection with the fan base started developing. Becoming the powerhouse it is today.
The first season of Buffy has some great moments and excellent episodes, but it was still finding its voice. season 2 it really took off. Great show.

Might be a little late, but here's a suggestion: Buffy vs. Vampirella! Could be great fun!

The only episode of BTVS that I absolutely--and unapologetically--hate to this day is the shark-jumping song-and-dance episode, "Once More With Feeling." Before then, it was done twice on XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS...which, in my permanent opinion, was two times too many!

As for the original 1992 feature film? I still watch my home video of it, every chance I get. Not only because Kristy Swanson looks hot in all that blue spandex! But, because her rendition of Buffy does a criminally under-rated job of showing a once self-centered California girl achieving responsible maturity...and helping her future boyfriend (Luke Perry's "Pike") do the same thing. Last, but not least? We should never forget that, without Kristy Swanson's version to make a weekly TV spin-off seem marketable, average people like me might still be going "Sarah Ma-who???"
