original poem was called 'The Iron Man". Until Marvel came up with a writ for copywrite infringement. So good choice Ross.
You've used Iron Giant a few times (most effectively with Transformers, I thought), but if you could get art with his boy companion would you consider him facing Gigantor? I don't know where you would find Johnny Sokko in comics form, but Gigantor and Ultraman ought to be easy to find in the US.
If the Iron Giant had good communication ability he'd quote Malekith the Accursed (The master of the hounds, a dark elf from the realm of Svartalfheim!) "Your armor does not contain much iron".
