The Avengers Vs. The Brotherhood of Evil

This would be a fun battle to see. The Brotherhood has a decent set of powers to draw upon - enough to give even The Worlds Mightiest Heroes pause.  I'm sure they would find a way to win in the end, but it woould be entertaining to watch them get there.

They'd probably have to consult Cliff Steel (the "only" surviving member of the Doom Patrol) to learn how the Brotherhood could be defeated.

I echo all of the above sentiments. :-)

No disrespect meant but are you sure that the Avengers are drawn by Sal instead of John Buscema?

Agreed; many of the best superhero stories are about how the heroes overcome the impossible odds of a much-more-powerful foe.

The Brotherhood of Evil's name prompts a couple of ideas, though: teaming with with the Masters of Evil, or the Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants. The latter has happened, but how about the former?

And... have we ever seen Kang the Conquerer recruiting the Fatal Five?

@Bob Greenwade: evidently not. But, I've no doubt he was operating from behind the scenes when he had the Fatal Five (from STF #2507) and the BOE (from STF #1696) suddenly switch opponents.

Which might also explain the Invaders being suddenly pitted against the Silver Age Justice League @ STF #3500. While the Defenders were astounded by the mind-controlled Fatal Five's baseless accusation @ STF #2752.

The Brain could takeover any one but Thor. Which is a good reason for Tony to develop a force field that diffuses mental beams to neutralize them.
And by now, Brain should have a dalek like casing for movement and independence.

I wonder how the Brain and M'sieur Mallah would do against Pinky and the Brain?

Bob Greenwade said...

@Anon@10:14: There's a long-standing wish to see Pinky and Mallah share a cover, in search of their respective Brains. (I'm about 50% sure that I was the first to ask for it.)

Carycomic said...

Well, maybe if I second your motion, Ross will finally grant that wish to everyone's satisfaction.

Two nominations for new groups for your enjoyment....
Visionarys (or Supervisors) for people like Cyclops and such

then we have
the Processors ....for all the Brains
