I think that these two buccaneer booted battlers would work well together. They are both considered to be the heart of soul of their respective teams and are each adept field commanders. One is a man out of time and the other is a man torn from his world so they could bond in that way as well.

Not to mention that Cap's wife is also JJ's JLA teammate. But who or what is the Pulverizer? Some Kirby Kreature we've never heard of, before; or Godzilla's latest alias?*
*Similar to Gojira, Gigantis, and Tohosaurus.
Since Diana is often like a sister to J'onn, Steve should feel very comfortable in pairing with this telepath. It would be interesting to see how they develop as a team since they would be unlike most of Cap's partners. Fun cover.

Steve and J'Onn definitely would bond over their removals from the worlds they knew; and this "Pulverizer" threat seems like something they'd have to think on their feet to take down.

You forgot Cyclops! His Cockrum costume (buccanneer-booted) is the only one I ever liked. Plus he's the best field commander the team has ever had.
@Jared: I think Worf would be in a position to become a "righteous fury" Red Lantern, right alongside Wolverine, Popeye, and (WB's) Tasmanian Devil.
As for your title, I'd suggest expanding it to: "Bring on the Ring on the Klingon!"
@Bob Greenwade: only if it also featured Eliza Dushku in a red cheerleading outfit.
@Jack-El: it could also be the erstwhile Tim the Mutagen Man from TMNT comics.
@Anon603: there's also a Pulverizer who's a cyborg mercenary working for Mr. Limburger (arch-enemy of the Biker Mice From Mars).
But, yeah; judging by the size of that descending foot, I don't think Cap and the Martian Manhunter will be facing _him_.
@Carycomic, Jack-El, & Anon603: If memory serves, the Pulverizer faced by Rusty and Big Guy was a four-armed dinosaur controlled by some prehistoric hive-mind that had previously gone dormant at the end of the Cretaceous Period.
Martian Manhunter phases thru the foot as Cap jumps up and uses the shield to get the creature's discomfort. Manhunter gives a punch on the back of the knee and the big foot has been brought to heel.
Thereby establishing a foothold that leads to "toe-tal" victory.
