Super-Friends and The Punisher

I loved with The Super-Friends would have a guest star on the show like Plastic Man or Green Arrow.  It made the world they inhabited seem even more expansive and inclusive of the comics in my young collection.  Frank Castle appearing would have truly been a surprise though - I can only imagine what a Super-Friends version of The Punisher would have been like!

He probably would've been more like The Spanker (from Dr. Angst's Band of the Bland). But, then again; such tendencies might have proven useful in preventing fist fights at the refund counter on Dec. 26.*

*The American version of Boxing Day. ;-)

Looks like you found a Superfriends version of Punisher! Maybe they did something along the lines where he met Archie?! This is certainly unexpected, but their reservation of working with him is understandable. They may share the same goals in fighting crime but the methods differ.

it’s the idea of Batman being around someone who openly carries a Gun or two… - quite a Giggle !

This cover actually made me giggle.

In an actual story, I think the Punisher would have a lot of pointing his gun only to have one of the other heroes spoil his aim. Batman would eventually equip Punisher with a non-lethal stun-ray weapon, which Punisher would find insulting and quit.

On the other hand, I think Punisher would find some common ground with Lockdown (though I'm not sure if that vigilante ever made the transition from animation to comics).

So this followed the Spectre? Considering how thick the armor or the superskin of the villians they often battle, Frank would have to keep making "adjustments" for shooting strength.
But if Green Arrow could do it, I'm sure Frank would be up to the challenge of how to control the bad guys/supervillains.

Is this image of the Punisher a revamped Archer (the 007 spoof from FX Network)?

It's a sketch by Ramona Fradon.

I'm pretty sure that circa early Super Friends, even a stun ray would have been deemed too violent. Castle, lacking the ropes and batarangs of his teammates, would have been limited to scolding people about littering.
