I enjoyed Secret Wars and the concept of The Beyonder, but I always wonder about the decisions behind his appearance. He's a nigh-omnipotent being and the visual we readers got was of a guy with a jheri curl in a bright white disco suit. I mean, that look was already dated in 1984, when he was first introduced. He was a little hard to take seriously, despite his nearly infinite powers.

If I recall correctly, he demonstrated to the Earth girl who fell in love with him that he could also turn into a she! Which is to say that, being a sentient energy being with nearly infinite powers, he was gender-neutral in every sense of the word!
Needless to say, she was vastly disappointed.
And, personally? If a sentient energy being with nearly infinite powers is going to act and sound like a conceited jerk, he might as well do it in a stereotypical male form.
Is this another Elvis sighting?
As I recall, the Beyonder was at first very childlike in his thinking despite having nigh-infinite power. When he first decided to walk amongst Earthlings, he chose the appearance of Steve Rogers (I don't recall for what reason). Then one of the heroes pointed out that doing that might cause confusion, he changed his hair to match that of Michael Jackson. And the "disco suit" was "cool" for someone as child-minded as the Beyonder.
I don't know if that would ever be enough to bring Chris Evans back to the MCU, though.

Organians? Or Trelane? Sometimes it can be a bit of a problem giving your audience something new in the category you are working with.
Help Mr B repair the multiverse? He does have limits. What would the results be if he had a power ring? Any different?
det_Tobor: I think the difference is that of "repair" vs. "replace". The Beyonder is good at massive uses of power all at once. But not so much at keeping 90% of something unchanged while rebuilding the other 10% and working on several small details at once. Having a crew to provide constructs via power ring at each point of repair along with the planning, engineering, and construction knowledge of the Corps could help.
@Jay: in that regard, shouldn't he also be collaborating with the Elder of the Universe known as The Architect?
As long as he doesn't get help from Mr Nebula...
(Remember the latter? He had a herald called 'the Scarlet Skier', whom he abandoned on Earth and who served in Justice League Antarctica...)
