Pet Avengers and Vixen

I've been trying to figure out what super power my cat Ace has.  He does have a secret Identity - Alarm Clock Cat - for when he decides to wake me at 4:15 am each morning, but I'm not sure that has to do with any special abilities.  He may have the power of invisibility - even in my tiny house there are times when I simply cannot find him, until he decides to just stroll in from nowhere.  The amount of fur he sheds also seems to indicate perhaps a mutant gene.

Non pet owners may not be able to believe how much an animal can learn. I have seen a hawk capture a pigeon in flight and ram the bird under the bottom of a patio railing to use as a cage while it went for another bird. It used tools.

Unlike Aquaman, Vixen really connects with her 'subjects'.Suppose a space animal was also telepathic? Could Vixen using this, have a 2 way with any animal?

If Martian Manhunter morphed into an animal, could Vixen draw on it's abilities?

@det_Tobor: I don't see why not? Dani Moonstar could telepath with Rahne Sinclair whenever the latter was in her lycanthropic mode.

@Ross: turn out the lights and see if the hairs glow green in the dark. If so, it's more likely kryptonite radiation sickness.*

*Ace might have been pussyfooting around with Streaky! ;-)

Speaking of which: have the Pet Avengers ever teamed up with the LSP on one of your covers?

I can answer that one for him: no. The Pet Avengers once teamed up with Lockjaw as an individual! But, there's been no inter-group alliance (a la the now-classic JLA/JSA summertime gatherings) which, I've gotta admit, sounds like a fun idea.

How about it, Ross? Think you could depict something entitled along the lines of "Crisis On Earth-Fire Hydrant!"?

Given the topic of discussion, I would've expected to see the Pet Avengers teamed up with the LSP for this (and no, Cary, that has yet to happen, though it's been suggested a couple of times by Yours Truly).

My wife, our best friend, and I once had three cats. The oldest two, Sheba and Allie, liked to chase bugs. On one occasion, Sheba jumped up to grab one against the glass patio door... and (no kidding) stayed in place for almost a full second. After that we nicknamed her Ninja Cat, and kept joking that we could sell her to NASA.

It's the disparate Art styles between the silver age DC pets and the more modern looking Marvel pets. Plus pairing groups is always harder. One day I'll find images that work together to my satisfaction.

So, then, a team-up between "Silver Age" Mad Dog and "Modern Age" Mad Dog is equally out of the question (for now)?

P.S.---the robot test for my reply was ironically apt. LOL!

It's all about images that work together well. My discerning visitors deserve to hold me to high standards!

Sometimes, though, it does work to use disparate art styles -- like, say, the animated (Timm/Conroy) Batman with Roger Rabbit.

PS: I've been watching the Web series RWBY through its full-season compilations on Prime Video. One of the characters on that show, Nora Valkyrie, reminds me so much of Harley Quinn that I think it would do well for those two to meet here. (It's a fun show, Ross, and I do recommend it; it's an American effort that successfully emulates Japanese anime styles and tropes.)

So that's why Spider-Man could never meet Spider-ham, Howard the Duck, or Godzilla?

@Cary, Bob, & Ross: I'd settle for "Batman '66 Meets Roger Rabbit!"

It preserves the stunning contrast of interaction between live-action and animated life-forms.

@Ross, do the right thing. Have Vixen meet Popeye. bd

Re powers for your cat: Quite a few cats seem to have 'Teleportation' (short range; only while unobserved by people)'...
